Your POV

We were helping the village in any way we could after the Dol-bal fiasco. Yoon and I were treating the wounded while Hak and Jae-ha were patrolling the area and Zeno and Kija went to gather firewood, water, and other supplies. Yona, like the leader she obviously is, was talking happily with the villagers nearby. She was reassuring them that we were not actual bandits out to take all of their belongings or anything. She explained that that was a cover story to keep the fire tribe soldiers form harming them any further. The villagers seemed to understand and were thankful for our protection.

Shin-ah, however, was nowhere to be found. At least not near me, which was where he tended to stay. But, with Yoon's advice, I managed to ignore his absence and do my job. Our first patients were the village chief and his daughter. I was treating the daughter while Yoon started treating the village chief, when I felt someone tap my shoulder.

I turned around to see the kind old woman from days before smiling down at me. I smiled a bright, wide open smile when I saw her. I quickly rapped my arms around her in a hug while exclaiming "Obaa-chan!" She giggled softly and hugged me back for a moment. I pulled away and smiled up at her then went back to treating the little girl who was waiting patiently.

"Its good to see you, Obaa-chan." I said sweetly as I cleaned the little girls injury's. "How are you? Is the medicine working?"

"Yes, (y/n)-chan." She said kindly, kneeling down next to me. "In fact, my injuries are almost completely healed."

"That's wonderful!" I exclaimed happily.

"Isn't it?" She smiled. "That's why, I want this little girl and the other injured people to use this instead of me." She set the small jar of greenish paste on the ground in front of me. My eyes widened and I looked at her in shock.

"But you need it!" I insisted. "Your injuries are still healing, so you need to use this to heal completely." She shook her head slowly.

"I'm fine, dear." She smiled, gently touching my shoulder as she spoke. "I no longer need it as much as this girl does, nor do I need it as much as her father or any of the patients you have to treat. So please," she placed the medicine in my hand. "Use this to help them." I stared at the jar in my hand and squeezed it tight then looked up at the kind Obaa-chan and nodded sharply.

"If you're sure, Obaa-chan, then this will be a great help." I smiled softly at her, which she returned with a nod. I continued treating the little girls wounds. She didn't have many significant wounds, except a scratch on her arm from when a soldier grabbed her, but she did have many smaller wounds on her legs, feet, and hands.

"Where did you get these wounds?" I asked sweetly.

"From helping father gather supplies." She mumbled. "We don't have many boys in the village anymore, so my friends and I help my father gather firewood and food." My heart ached at her words.
