Chapter 4 The New Beginning

HEY HEY!!! SO MUCH LOVE! <3 Yeah I'm in a good mood today! :D idk why tho... :/ Anyway! I just published my first one shot! Go give it a read! If you want that is...I don't wanna force you or anything...but I would be happy if you did >.< So this chapter is gonna seriously progress the story a lot. If it feels to rushed please let me know! I told them everything. About my mom. About the clinic. About getting chased. Everything. Well, everything except who was chasing me and who it was that attacked my mom. I left that part out. Ik-soo seemed to notice, but didn't press for any information. He would probably just ask me later when it was just the two of us. Yona suddenly came over and hugged me close when I finished.

"Its okay, (Y/N)." She whispered as she rubbed my back. "It'll be okay, so please don't cry." I hadn't even noticed the warm tears rolling down my cheeks like a light rain. I was surprised by my weakness. I never cried in front of people. I only ever cried in front of my mother, and even that was rare. Yoon hadn't even seen me cry. I wiped my face with the backs of my hands in a futile attempt to stop the tears. I was so embarrassed. I hated showing weakness. I tried steadying my breath as well, but it didn't work.

Ao sat on my shoulder and continuously shoved an acorn into my cheek. I smiled and laughed a little at the adorable squirrel. Shin-ah noticed her on my shoulder and gently removed her, taking the acorn in the process.

"She can't eat that, Ao." He whispered to her. I giggled a bit at the cute scene, my tears slowing. Shin-ah looked over for a second. I could tell by now that he could actually see. The fact that his eyes were injured was such an obvious lie. How I didn't notice sooner, I have no idea. I was unsure of the reason for his lie, but I'm sure he had his reasons. After a second or two Shin-ah made his why behind me, a slight dust of pink on his cheeks. He sat down behind me, crossed his legs, then pulled me into his lap. He wrapped his arms around my waist and set his chin on my head like he had when Yona and Yoon were treating my fever.

I blushed and stiffened for a moment, but quickly relaxed when I felt Ao on my shoulder again. She just had this thing about her that could comfort anyone. She probably got it from Shin-ah. Yona gave me a soft smile then stood up and went to grab a piece of cloth to wipe my face. I looked over at Yoon to see he was being comforted by Ik-soo.
