We arrived back in the water tribe after about three days of travelling. Since it was almost dark, we immediately went to the inn next door to the first inn we stayed at. It was pretty much the same, except a little bit smaller and it had a larger hot springs. We got three rooms, like last time, except this time I had a room to myself. Yona had decided to stay with Lady Lili instead of me.
I wasn't upset though. It was nice to have the room to myself.
Of course, however, everyone said it was supposed to be for Shin-ah and me. But the two of us politely declined.
Not because we wanted too though.
We went to our rooms and dropped our things off, then we all went to the hot springs. They were split by gender, like most are, so I wasn't too self conscious about it. I got in with the other girls and talked to them about a few different things, like what all happened in the colonels office and how it felt to be taken over by the demon.
Then they brought up Shin-ah.
"So how are you and Shin-ah doing?" Yona grinned.
"What do you mean?" I laughed.
"Y'know," She started. "You've been sleeping outside with him a lot. So are you gonna be okay without him tonight?" I swear I saw an eyebrow wiggle in there at some point, but I could be wrong. I rolled my eyes and said while shaking my head,
"I'll be fine Yona. Besides, it's not like we need to be in the same room to be able to get to sleep." Yona rolled her eyes and laughed a bit.
"Whatever you say." she smiled. Then Tetora spoke up.
"How far have you two gotten anyway?" She asked suddenly. I felt my face turn to fire as soon as she asked. Yona and Ayura had to stop themselves from laughing while Lady Lili's face also turned beet red.
"I'm sorry?" I guffawed. Tetora snickered and repeated her question.
"I said, how far have you two gotten?" I again felt my face heat up like fire and shook my head.
"Not far!" I sputtered. "We've just kissed, that's it! Anything more would be inappropriate!" Tetora smiled sneakily as she came closer to me.
"I think you protest too much." she grinned. I stared at her with wide eyes before covering my face out of embarrassment. We hadn't done anything more than that! I mean we JUST got into a relationship!
"Stop messing with her Tetora." Ayura sighed.
"Awe, but it's so much fun!" Tetora pouted in response. Ayura sighed again and shook her head.
"That's enough." She said with a small, almost apologetic smile. "You shouldn't pick on her like that. Look, even her neck is red. Give her a break." Tetora pouted in defiance, but still ended up giving in and walking away from me. I then peeked through my fingers and saw Ayura coming up to me. She put a hand on my shoulder and said with a smile, "You look like you're getting overheated. How about you go ahead and head back to your room for the night. We wouldn't want you to get a fever or pass out now, would we?" I gave her small smile and nodded.
"Okay." I said. "And thank you." Ayura nodded then moved away so I could get out. I quickly stepped out of the bath and went to dry off, putting my robe on afterwards.
I walked out of the hot springs area only to see Shin-ah walk out of the mens area next to me. We stared at each other for a moment then smiled and took each others hand. We then started making our way back to the rooms.
"How was....your bath?" Shin-ah asked as we walked.
"Good." I smiled. "Short, but good. I feel much better now. And yours?" He smiled and nodded.
"Mine too." We gave each other a close eyed smile, then faced forward again. After a few more steps, I decided to sneak a peek at Shin-ah, just to really see how he looked in his robe.
It was a dark blue robe, the same color as mine, with a matching tie around the waist. He left it open a bit at the top, showing his broad chest, causing my heart to skip a beat. It was strange, but he looked extremely attractive in his robe. I looked up and saw that his hair was still wet and I couldn't help but snicker.
"What?" Shin-ah asked curiously.
"You're hair!" I said with a laugh. "It's still wet! And yet you always scold me for not completely drying my hair. I just thought it was funny." I grinned up at him only to see him staring sown at me, his mouth slightly agape. I tilted my head curiously at him. "What?" I questioned.
"You look nice...in your bathrobe." He answered, a small blush on his cheeks. My eyes immediately went wide and felt my face heat up for the third time tonight. I looked down at the ground shyly, the compliment catching me off guard.
"Thanks." I mumbled, squeezing his hand a little. I heard him chuckle and felt his hand tighten around mine, returning my small gesture.
I swear this man will be the death of me.
