Chapter 1

Irene POV
"Mom, where are we going now?" I asked mom while hugging my mom from behind.

"Oh sweetheart, don't scare me like that! Let's go, we are waiting for you. Go to the car ,we are having dinner at your favorite restaurant since it is your birthday today." Mom said while patting my fringe.

"Alright, let's go!" I laughed and started to run out the door and found out that my dad was already waiting in the car.

"Hey dad"I kissed my dad from behind the car seat.

" Happy birthday Joohyun, ready to go?" Dad asked just when mom closed the car' s door.

"GO GO GO!!" I shouted which made them laugh.

The car ride was filled with laughter and music. Suddenly, it started to rain heavily. "Joohyun, what u want for your birthday?" Mom turned around.

"I already had what I wanted, mom" I smiled. Mom reached out her hand and pinched my cheeks. Family, family is all I wanted, my source of happiness and loves. I am satisfied with what I had now.

"Honey..." Dad called out to mom. I wasn't paying attention ,I just stared out the window and scrolling through my phone.

"Irene, did you put on your safety belts?"

"Yea I did, why? "Mom was weird. I always put on my seat belt when riding the car.

"Nothing, we love you Irene, no matter what." Mom answered calmly. I didn't answer to what mom said because Wendy called me.

"Irene!!!happy birthday! Let's go out tomorrow okay? We miss you!" Wendy said. I can heard the girls shouting happy birthday at the background. These dorks just never failed to make me laugh.

"Ok Wendy, ask them to shut up. I am going to have my dinner with my family at my favorite restaurants.Alright where are we going to mee--" my world started to flip and land with a loud thud.

"Yah I-i-ire-ene....bae Irene.. Can u hear me...yah it's not funny..Irene...." I can heard Wendy voice faintly just before it cut off.

I turned around, I can saw blood everywhere... Mom.. Dad...
"MOM!" My mom stared at me lifelessly, I can't move, I can't breath, my dad was whimpering in pain, blood was flowing down his head.

"Joohyun.. Take care of yourself... Be happy and healthy..mom and dad will watch over u above the sky.."mom smiled weakly at me and handed me a necklace. The necklace was covered with blood.

"We love you..." Dad said and held my hand weakly.

"M-mom.. D-dad... Don't... Don't leave me..." Their eyes started to closed....

"MOM, DAD!" I woke up from my nightmare. Tears were flowing down my cheeks heavily.. I hugged my knees to my chest and hold the necklace tightly. " mom...dad....I miss you.." I was shaking uncontrollably.

"Irene-ah.." Seulgi came and sat beside me, she hugged me gently. "Shh..we are here for you.. Don't cry.."

Years had pass, I dreamt about them every night. Their warm smile, their warm hug, their scent. I miss them.. After the accident, I am not the bubbly girl anymore. I used to be an outgoing teenage but not anymore. I used to had a lot of friends now they called me ice princess. All I did was study study and study. I wanted to do something to forget all the pain. People bullied me, hates me and call me nerds. It hurts, it really hurts. I cut myself, I tried to end my life, but Wendy saved me. The girls give me strength, they were there when I need them. They are my family. The family that I need....

"Irene .. Let's go back to sleep, we still have school tomorrow. Sleep now, ok?" Seulgi tucked me into my bed and kissed my forehead before she left to her room.

That night.. I can't sleep.
