"Wake up," someone whispered. Cold water slapped me hard in the face. I sputtered, catching my breath and shivering at the cold of the room added with the cold of the water. Where was I?
All I knew was that I was sat in a chair, tied up by the wrists around the back of it.
I looked at my surroudings. A very dark room, scary, but nonetheless furnished. A twin-sized bed sat at the side of the room, covered in a very thin blanket. On the other side was a dresser, a old and very used looking lamp sitting on top.
My heart started to beat faster as soon as I saw those green eyes. "Hello," he said, his voice just as gravely as last night.
"You remember me, babe?" he asked, giving me a sly smirk. I remembered that smirk. "No, I don't," I lied.
"You have no right to call me 'babe'. I don't know you," I pointed out. The man growled, and I resisted at the want to cry. "Yeah, you do. You're lying. You know me, Noey," he said. He put his head so close to me our noses were almost touching. I let out a whimper.
"I don't know you," I repeated. The man let out a large groan, almost a yell of anger, then paced twice across the small room.
He pulled out a pocket knife from his back pocket, then cut the ropes holding me to the chair. As soon as I could, I sprinted to the other side of the room, standing on the bed, ready to jump at him if he attacked me.
"I'm not going to hurt you Noelle, you should know that," he said. My stomach churned when my name came out of his mouth.
"How do you know my name?" I asked. I rubbed over the red marks left from the rope on my wrists.
"Noey, I love you," he said. He began to walk closer to me. My breath became audibly faster as he did.
"You don't rememver me at all?" I shook my head, hoping my answer would make him leave.
The man let out a shaky sigh, then, just like I had wanted, left the room.
I stayed where I was at for a few mintues, then finally sat down, pulling my knees up to my face, drowning myself in tears, and hoping I would freeze to death.
