Harry grabbed a trashbag and shoved it in my direction. His breathing wasn't slowing down and it was scaring me.
"Harry, what's happening?" I breathed at him.
"Put all your stuff in here. Clothes, books, shoes, all of it. We need to go." Harry wouldn't look me in the eye. His clothes were a severe mess and nothing was alright. Everything was wrong. Grover was barking off the walls, Harry was throwing everything into his own garbage bag, and I was just standing there clueless.
Harry finally looked at me expectantly. Harshly, almost. His eyes flashed with anger, and then changed back to fear.
I ran to Harry's room and grabbed most of our clothes and threw them in the bag. Grover followed me and tried to tear a shirt away from my grasp.
"Grover not right now!" I gasped. The shirt ripped almost as soon as I pulled it away from the dog's jaw.
"Grover!" I yelled. Loud footsteps then made the house bounce. Harry's eyes looked even angrier than they were just a couple minutes ago.
"Noelle, we don't have time for this!" he yelled at me. I looked away from his hurtful eyes, and a minute later when he figured that I wasn't going to reply, he pulled at Grover and dragged him out of the room.
Whatever was wrong, Harry wasn't in the mood for me to ignore it.
I continued to pack everything into the garbage bag, rushing from one room to the other, forgetting things that were important all over the place. Toothbrushes? Nope, need that. Soap? Gotta get that, too.
Just when I thought I had everything together, Harry grabbed my hand. I tried to scream, because he scared the absolute shit out of me, but his hand was almost immediately over my mouth. "Ready" he whispered. I nodded into his sweaty hand, then pulled it off of my face.
"Harry, what is going on?" He didn't answer me, just pulled me towards the garage door.
"I'm not moving until you tell what's going on," I insisted. I knew he wouldn't tell me until I did this. His dark green eyes were too scared and angry and hurried to let me know.
"Can't I tell you in the car, Noelle?" he asked. I shook my head, "No. Tell me now, or I'm staying here."
Harry looked at me another minute before he finally let out a loud sigh and looked at the floor. He reached for my hand, and I took it.
"Tell me. Please. It can't be that bad," I whispered. Grover whimpered at not being let into the family moment. Little did he know that this was not a family moment.
Harry enveloped me in one of his bear hugs, and as soon as his smell reached me, I immediately felt better.
"They know where you are," Harry whispered in a shaky voice.
I no longer felt the calm. I wanted him to put the words back into his mouth and keep them there. Take them out of my brain and put them back into his. I didn't want to know this information.
"Harry." The tears started to flow out of my eyes again, but Harry leaned back and pushed the ones on my face away, "We're not safe right now, Noey. We need to leave." I nodded, and picked up my bag.
"Let's go then."
