Dear Sage,
I was gonna wait longer, but I finally decided to suck it up and try for my license! Plus my mom pretty much made me try for it, something about how I'm "almost 18" and my temps were going to "expire soon" and I "was spending too much time worrying". Honestly, I think she just wanted to have another lackey to run errands now that all of my older siblings have moved out for good.
I almost failed. Apparently blind spot head checks during turns are a real thing, which is absolute bullshit if you ask me. Like, who needs to check their blindspot before every turn?! Exactly. I'm glad you agree, I knew you would.
It is also required to slow down when passing through uncontrolled intersections... Wish I woulda known that... Guess all of that daydreaming in Driver's Ed didn't pay off.
If only you were here. We would probably embark on an adventure once I got my license. I can smell the biting air as it rushes through one of the car windows and hear your laughter as you gaze out the passenger's side at the world around you. It's almost as if it has already happened...
When you get back we'll go on this adventure Sage.
