Frisk stopped by Sans and Papyrus's house before going home. She wanted to clean up before Toriel saw her and freaked out. When she knocked on the door, it was Papyrus who answered it. The door swung open and the skeleton gasped.
"Human! You're hurt! SANS!" He called back into the house. The lazy skeleton let out a yawn, coming to the door. His smirk faded when he saw the condition Frisk was in.
"Whoa, kid, you fall into a thorn bush or something?" Sans suggested her cover. Frisk shrugged and nodded. Papyrus gasped.
"Oh how terrible! Sans! We must help her!" Papyrus declared, as if his brother was just going to leave her on the porch. Frisk couldn't help but grin. Her scratches weren't lethal, and they only hurt with a slight twinge, yet the caring skeleton made it sound as though she had lost an arm. Sans chuckled, holding open the door for Frisk to enter.
"Alright, clumsy, let's get you patched up." He teased. Frisk entered the house and Sans led her into the bathroom. Papyrus announced that Frisk was going to stay for lunch and ran off to cook it.
"Oh...well..." Frisk said as he ran out. She smirked and looked at Sans. "I guess I'm staying for lunch, then." Sans shrugged.
"There's no way to tell that guy no, huh?" He laughed. Frisk agreed, smiling. Sans picked her up and sat her on the counter of the sink, reaching into the cabinet to get bandaids and some disinfectant.
"Frisk, this is the third time this week that flower has attacked you like this. Why do you keep going back?" Sans inquired. Frisk didn't say anything. She just looked at her hands in her lap. Sans sighed.
"Sorry, dumb question." He admitted. Frisk smiled at him warmly, so he wouldn't feel as if she was mad. Her smile faltered slightly as something floated through her mind.
Here's a better question...do you want to have a bad time?
Frisk closed her eyes and shook her head. No no no.... That wasn't part of the dream...was it? Then how come she remembered it? Sans put a hand on her shoulder and she flinched terribly, pulling away from him.
"Whoa, you alright, kiddo?" Sans wondered. Dirty brother killer... Frisk covered her ears, trying to block it out. Her eyes were squeezed tightly shut, and she kept shaking her head. No no no...please...
"Frisk!" Sans' voice shattered the glass barrier within her head and the trembling girl froze. She slowly removed her hands from her ears and opened her eyes. The face of the skeleton in front of her was contorted in concern.
"You alright, buddy?" He repeated himself. Frisk nodded slowly, then shook her head, tears welling in her eyes. She threw her arms around the skeleton, fear lingering in her heart. Sans patted her back, hushing her gently.
"Let me guess...nightmares?" Frisk nodded, her face buried in his jacket. "Don't worry, kiddo. I get them too." Frisk tensed up slightly, suddenly worried that they were having the same nightmare and that the skeleton would attack her. Don't be stupid, he's your friend! Sans chuckled slightly and ruffled Frisk's hair.
"Come on, Papyrus is going to get worried." He said. Frisk nodded and Sans began to clean off the scratches on her arms and put bandaids on the worst of them. When they were done, Sans helped her down from the counter and Frisk led the way into the kitchen, where Papyrus was finishing up cooking lunch.

"Hey, Alphys, what's up?" Frisk wondered when she picked up the phone later that night. Toriel was in the other room, reading one of her books, and Frisk was in her bedroom, sitting on the edge of her bed.
"Oh, uh, hi Frisk. I, um, well... I've run into a little snag with the whole Asriel thing." Frisk tried not to be worried as she prompted an explanation out of the scientist.
"What's the issue?" Frisk wondered nervously.
"W-Well, when he came back the first time, back in the underground, i-it was because he had those souls inside o-of him, r-right?" She stuttered. Frisk flinched. Alphys had been getting better socially, but whenever something bad happened, or if something stressful came up, she'd get so nervous again. So whatever was wrong, it must be pretty bad to cause her to stutter so much.
"Yeah, so...you're saying that the only way to bring him back is to give him a soul?" Frisk guessed. Alphys' silence was all the confirmation Frisk needed. Neither of them said anything for a while.
"What if I give him my soul?" Frisk suggested quietly, scared at just the mention of it.
"NO!" Alphys exclaimed. Frisk hated how relieved she felt. She felt selfish, keeping her soul to herself when Asriel was trapped as a flower in the underground. Yet, she was glad that Alphys refused so quickly. It gave her an excuse. "Y-You can't, F-Frisk, that's...that's..." Alphys panicked.
"I know I know, Alphys, it's okay. It was just an idea. I'm not going to." Frisk comforted her. Alphys didn't say anything and Frisk had a feeling that she wasn't convinced. Neither was Frisk.
"W-What about the six human souls that the king had? I know Flowey absorbed them, but...if he gave the souls back to all the monsters like you said he did, then maybe those are still somewhere in the underground? If you somehow managed to find them, we could give them to Asriel." Alphys recalled. Frisk grinned.
"Alphys, you're a genius!" Frisk laughed excitedly. On the other end of the phone, Alphys couldn't help but blush.
"Oh, I-I don't think I'm a genius..." She mumbled modestly. A thought occurred to Frisk.
"Six souls...that's a lot of power for one person." She noted.
"Frisk, you have the power to stop, start, and reset time at will." Alphys pointed out. Frisk's cheeks burned slightly.
"Oh...yeah...right. And I guess if he did go crazy again, six souls is nothing compared to all the souls in the underground..." She realized. Her embarrassment grew as she realized how egotistical she sounded. "I mean, uh..." She tried to correct herself.
"No, you're right, Frisk. Besides, it might take all six souls to get Flowey to feel again." Alphys joked before breaking off into a nervous cough. Frisk smiled gently.
"Alright. Thanks, Alphys. I'll talk to you tomorrow. Goodnight." Frisk told her.
"Goodnight, Frisk. Sweet dreams." But as Frisk put away her phone and crawled into bed, turning off the lights, she had the feeling that she was in for another night of bad dreams...
