Peeta's POV-
It's the third day of training. Everyone in the training center is eager to show there skills to the other tributes and leave a good impression on them. Me on the other hand, I'm eager for this day to draw to a close. I'm tired of making a fool of myself in front of the other tributes, especially the careers.

I'm in line for sword play when I hear Cato yelling rather loudly. "You took my knife!" He screams. "I didn't touch your knife!" I turn around to see Cato and the District 9 boy fighting about who had the knife. "Yes you did you touched my knife!" Cato clamps his hands on his uniform and this is when the training instructor comes in to help. He clamps her hands on Cato's shoulders and pulls him back. "Everybody back in line!" She screams. "Actually you know what?" Cato says. "I'll wait for the arena. Your the first one I get so watch you back, huh?" I notice everyone is looking upwards and smiling at something. I do what everyone else is doing. I tilt my head up and see the little tribute from District 11, I think her name is Rue, she's hanging from the ceiling smiling down at Cato without him noticing. I notice she has something silver in both her her hands. It's Cato's knife. I let out a small smile before Cato is hauled away.

I step up to the sparring area to find Marvel, the District 1 tribute, standing there. I grab a sparing sword with trembling, sweaty hands and step up.

Marvel doesn't hesitate. He takes his sword and immediately strikes. He hits my foot and I clench it in pain. I quickly regain my strength, but by then Marvel is striking me right in the gut. My body explodes with pain. My head hits the floor and it feels like I split my head open.

Get back up! What are you doing?!Your making a fool of yourself!

I try to get back up, but my weak body gives into the pain. I finally manage to get back on my feet and start charging toward Marvel. I slam him to the hard floor. I punch him, but he quickly regains his strength and punches me back even harder than I did him. I can feel something warm drip down from my lip. It's blood and its staining the floor. Before I know it, Marvel is bringing his foot down to my face. That's the last thing I see before my vision fades into blackness

I wake up in my room. My vision is a little hazy and all the images I see are fused together into one big, jumbled mess.

I walk outside and see its dinner and I'm still in my training outfit. Katniss stares at me with a little concern. "W-what happened to me?" "You blacked out so the training instructor brought you here." Katniss says plainly. "It's okay the last day was almost over with anyway." I nod and look at Haymitch.

He states back and says, "You two get some rest. You'll need it for tomorrow." We both nod and head to our rooms.

I get changed into more comfortable cloths for bed. One minute after my face hits the pillow I fall into a dreamless sleep.
