Peeta's POV-
"How did you feel, when you found him by that river?" We are in the middle of the last interview before we go home.

The whole audience is out of their seats waiting for an answer, as am I. I look at her, curiously.

"I felt like the happiest person in the world." I let a small smile cross my lips as does Ceaser Flickerman and the rest of the crowd.

Katniss looks over to me and smiles. "I couldn't imagine life without him." The crowd gasps and I hold out my hand to her. She grasps it lightly as Ceaser exhales as if he's truly inspired by our love.

"And what about you, Peeta?" "She saved my life." Katniss jumps in. "We saved each other."

The crowd lets out a small awe before Ceaser interjects. "Ladies and gentlemen, the star crossed lovers from District 12, this years victors of the 74th annual Hunger Games!" There's one final roar of applause from the crowd and then we exit.

We are on the train looking out of the window and there's a long silence until I break it.

"So what happens when we get back?" Katniss shrugs. "I don't know...I guess we try to forget."

Everything flashes before my eyes. The cut, the kiss, the death of Cato, Katniss nursing me, eating the berries together. I say the next thing with certainty in my voice. "I don't want to forget." And that's when she tells me it was all an act.

My heart sinks. This was all an act? Everything?

The train slows to a stop in front of the screaming crowd. We all wave to a crowd and then Katniss spots her.

Prim Rose Everdeen on Gale Hawthorne's shoulders. Her face falls until I take her hand.

"One last time, for the audience?" She takes my hand and we bring up our united grasp and after a moment or two, that's when we let go.....
