Chapter 4

The next day. Olive and I went to the locker room to talk for a bit about teams. I think that she would have to know this sooner or later. But this also means that we might not be in the same team.

"Sis, there's something I want to talk to you about."

"What is it?"

"Well," I say down on the bench.

"We might not be on the same team. So I just want you to know that no matter who's on your team, you need to be happy that you guys are working together as one."

Olive's expression turns serious and she nods.

"I know. I'm just hope that my team doesn't fail on me."

"Olive. Your team might fail on something, but you have to deal with it. It's part of being a team. You would have to accept it and move on. Do you understand?"

"Yeah. I know what you saying."

"Good."

Suddenly, I hear a locker door closed and we both look at a guy. He had black hair and Brown eyes. He took out his weapon of a gun that is attached to his right arm. He looks serious about this.

"Oh. Hey Roger!"

He looks at our direction then at me. I have a weird feeling that this might not be the last time I see him. He closed his eyes and makes a smile with a 'hm' sound. He walks away.

"So. That's Roger."

"Yep. Isn't he awesome?"

"Awesome? What are you talking about 'awesome'? He didn't even say hi back."

"Well, yeah. But there has to be a heart inside of him. I can feel it."

"You just met the dude. You can't know what's he really like immediately."

"He's right. You need to give youself time to laern from people first."

Ebony comes out of nowhere and Olive's smiles with hot in her eyes.

"Hey Olive. Are you ready for our training lesson for the first time? I know I am."

"Yes. Yes I am."

"I just can't wait to go out and show my powers!"

Ebony smiles.

"What about you Henry? Are you excited?" asks Ebony.

"I think so."

"Oh. Don't feel so bum down Henry. We just had this talk about not being on the same team and now your not excited?!"

"Sorry. I'm just in a world of my own."

"Well don't be in there too long. We got other things to worry about today."

"Yeah. I know."

"Attention students. Please come to the auditorium at once."

We all heard the intercom and Olive's jumps around.

"Yes! It's time! Do you want to come with us, Ebony?"

"Sure thing."

They both started to walk away. And I joined them. Ebony hits my shoulder and I looked at her. She comes close to my ear.

"Don't get all stiffed up. I know you have some love in your heart. Just keep calm."

I gulped. I'm not so sure about me being on the same team with a complete stranger or three. But I have to accept it.

A few hours later, we were all outside. And I was surprised to see Olive and Ebony a few feet away from me.

"Alright students. It is time for your first mission as a Hunter or a huntres. We will start by separation. You would have to find each other and work together as a team to get to your destination of getting a chess piece of your choice. And be careful. There are some friend eager to get their claws in you. Do I make myself clear?"
