Lightning

It was a rainy and cold night. The lighting striking the sky and thunder booming.

Josh was terrified of the thunder. He lay awake at 12, under his covers and hugged his stuffed animal.

He called his best friend Tyler.

"Please pick up..." He mumbled as the phone rang for a 5th time.

A tired Tyler answered the phone. "Yes Josh?" He said rubbing his eyes.

Josh bit his lip. "Ty there's thunder.." He said and he felt like a little kid.

Tyler smiled lightly, "Okay Joshy, want me to come over?"

Tyler couldn't sleep the rain reminded him of the dark times in his life. Having Josh as company wouldn't hurt.

Josh nodded, "Mhm please do."

"Okay Josh I'll be there in a few." Tyler put on a hoodie and some jeans. He grabbed his phone and keys and put on his shoes.

He went out to his car and drove to Josh's house. He knocked and used the key under the mat to get in.

Tyler took off his shoes and walked up to Josh's room to find him under the covers with scared eyes.

Tyler awed. "You okay?" And Josh's shook his head violently.

Tyler sat next to Josh on the bed and rubbed his arm.

Josh gulped and looked at Tyler. "Uh, Ty?"

Tyler looked down at Josh and smiled. "Yeah?"

"C-can you cuddle with me?" Josh said nervously.

Tyler nodded, "Yeah... Of course"

Tyler laid down next to Josh and Josh put his head on Tyler's chest. Tyler was outside the covers and Tyler wrapped his arms around Josh.

They never cuddled before. Yeah they put their head in each others lap, but never cuddled. Tyler took a chance and kissed the top of Josh's head. Josh blushed and looked up at Tyler.

"Do- do you love me?" Josh asked.

Tyler loved Josh for a long time he never had the gut to say it. He nodded slowly.

"I love you Josh." Tyler said looking at Josh.

Josh smiled and pressed his lips to Tyler's. The kiss was soft and passionate.

Tyler cupped Josh's face and Josh smiled and pulled away.

"I love you too Tyler" Josh said pecking Tyler's lips.

Tyler smiled and knew right then they weren't gonna be just friends.
