Midnight serenade

Josh's pov~

Tyler was cuddled up to me and I was reading something that interested me. Tyler got up and left the room and I looked at the empty space where he was in confusion.

He comes back with his car keys and his ukulele, "Put that boring book down and get up" he said laughing and I couldn't help but let out a small laugh.

I get up and put on my shoes and take his hand, lacing our fingers together perfectly.

He hums and opens the door, "My love" he said and I walked past him smiling.

Tyler walked me to the passengers seat and opened the door for me and I let go of his hand and sat down. "Hands, feet, toes, hair" he lists off, and then closes the door; while I start to laugh at his actions  Tyler walks to the other side of the car and gets in.

"So where are we going baby?" I ask him.

He just smiles and grabs my hand and puts his ukulele in my lap. He starts the car with his left hand and puts the car in reverse also with his left hand and backs out of the driveway.

He just hums a soft song on the way there and I listen, with one thought on my mind: Where is Tyler taking me?

After a good ten minutes, Tyler parks and I look around and we're at the park.

I laugh lightly at him, "What are we doing baby?" I ask getting out of the car and handing Tyler his ukulele as he walks by me.

"I'm gonna do something" Tyler said and we stop at the fountain. he sits down and starts drumming.

"wise men say only fools rush in, but I can't help falling in love with you"

I sit down and look at him in awe, I loved his voice.

"shall I stay, would it be a sin if I can't help falling in love with you"

I smiled and he looked at me as he sang.

"like a river a flows surely to the sea darling so it goes some things were meant to be."

i got butterflies in my stomach and he smiled at me.

"take my hand, take my whole life too, cause I can't help falling in love with you"

he stops strumming for a second to put my hand on his knee, since we really couldnt hold hands. he strums again and continues singing.

I close my eyes and sway my head softly just listening to him.

I opened my eyes and got up, "really Tyler?" I ask and he shakes his head and smiles and strums the last part and gets up.

"I can't help, falling in love with you" he whispers and kisses me softly and I kiss him back just as gently
