I woke up at eight A.M. seeing that it was the weekend. The weekdays were torture because the sight of Reed laughing, smiling, kissing, hugging, and holding Nancy made me sad.
It's a common thing you know, when a mate dies or rejects the other (which rarely happens) the one who is rejected/alive develops depression over time.

I sluggishly got up and headed down stairs to the kitchen. The weekends were one of the rare days my parents are home.

"Good Morning baby. How did you sleep?" My mother asked me.

Didn't sleep a bit.

"I had a good night's rest." I lied

"That's good. What would you like for breakfast?"

Nothing

"Toast and jelly. I'm just not hungry today," I told her. She nodded and put bread in the toaster. I went to the fridge and took out the milk.

Grabbing a cup I poured some milk into it while my mom handed me my toast. Smiling a small fake smile to her as a sign of thankfullness.

I want my mate, Jen told me.

I do too, but he doesn't want us.

It's not fair, She complains.

Life's unfair, I tell her. She whimpers and hides in the back of our mind. I still have to tell my parents about Reed.

We ate quietly, I finished first because I had the least amount of food. Here's my chance.

"Mom, Dad, I need to tell you something," I started

They stopped eating and looked at me.

"Is there anything you need sweety?" My dad asked.

"I met my mate."

Nobody made a noise after I blurted that. I began to stare at the table.

My mom cleared her voice and said,
"When will we meet him?"

"He rejected me." I told them.

"WHAT?!" My father screamed outraged.

"Honey calm down I'm sure he has a valid reason." My mother tried to reason with my father.

"Who. is. he?" My father gritted his teeth. Tears began to form in my eyes. It's like I'm reliving the pain, my body began to shake. My dad saw this and immediately calmed down.

"Baby, I'm sorry," He apologized.

"H-his name is Reed. The future Third in command," I whispered knowing they could hear me. There is another tension filled silence. After a while my father released a scary loud growl that made me whimper.

"Honey, you're scaring her," My mom told my father. He looked at her with rage filled eyes that slowly calmed down.

"Did he tell you why?" He asked me. I nodded my head.

"His parents paired him with another she Wolf and they passed. He wants to fulfill their wishes." He nodded in understanding.

"At least it's something honorable. If it was because of something petty I would have to kill him."

"Robert! You can't just bluntly tell your daughter that you would have killed her mate!" My mom scolded my dad.

"Your father would have done the same. He pointed a gun at my head!" He exclaimed

"That's because he thought you rejected me for being Mexican!"

"WHY would he think that?!"

"HE DOESN'T SPEAK ENGLISH." My mother screamed.

"Oh. Good thing I didn't huh?" He said jokingly. My mother slapped his arm. They got lost in their own little world for a while.

I got up and walked up to my room. I closed my door.

Why couldn't he accept us? She asked me again.

You know why. Why do I keep reminding you? I told her

I feel something bad may happen to us. She told me.

Like what? I asked her

I don't know.

I took a deep breath until my wolf howled and I started convulsing.

I'm thinking of having a playlist all songs from Eurovision 2015. And dedicating the chapter to the song because it goes with the theme of the chapter.
Sorry that its short. :/
