Chapter Ten

Jesse's POV

My phone has been nonstop buzzing. All messages from Reed. I have had some messages from King, but I couldn't really reply without getting interrupted every couple minutes of writing a response. I don't really understand Reed's mentality, reject a girl, then after a month ask for her back by annoying the shit out of her with constant instant messaging. What the fuck man? I decided to block his number from my phone, and reply to King.

*Hey!*

Oh God, why did I send that?! Why couldn't I be more original? Then my phone buzzed.

*Oh, hey! You finally responded. :D*

I smiled.

*Yeah, some douche decided to message me constantly.*

Our mate is not a douche, Jennifer told me.

Well he is one for changing his mind so quickly, besides we have King remember? You're the one who told me to take a chance with him, I told Jen. She just stayed quiet, but growled a bit in the back of my mind. I rolled my eyes, and grabbed my phone to see that King responded.

*Did I do something wrong?*

No, silly it was my other mate. I quickly typed a response.

*Nah man. It was Reed. He's been acting weird.*

*Really? How?* he replied almost instantly.

*He's been messaging me nonstop, and according to Nancy he's been muttering some insane stuff like dark stuff.* I texted him

*That is weird. :/ Does your Alpha know?*

*Yes, but he's not taking it seriously :/*

*That's a shame. It's similar to what happened to the Midwest pack of the North. Their Alpha got insane after he rejected his mate for another she wolf that he killed most of his pack including his parents. Look out boo.* he told me through the screen on my phone.

Why does that story sound like a plausible reality?

"Hey Jesse!" Nicole greeted me.

"Hey Nic," I greeted to her hugging her as I said it.

"So what do you want to talk about?" She asked me. I pulled out my phone and I showed he all the messages Reed sent me. She read through them and said, "That is one messed up boy."

"I need you to help me find out what pack King is from," I told her.

"What does this have to do with Reed?"

"Everything."

"Jess, I found nothing on King. How is knowing what pack impacts Reed in anyway?" Nicole asked me exasperated.

"Reed never said what pack he is from, and his parents disappeared after he was introduced to the pack. Plus he just moved here, how the fuck did he get the ranking of a Third-in-command?" I spoke my mind. Nicole gave me a look that screamed, 'Oh. My. Gouda. You are right."

Sorry it is short! I leave to México tomorrow, its midnight, and my cousin graduates tomorrow. Soooo yeahh. I plan to update while waiting to board the plane. It'll be short like this one, but hey at least I'm back... Right?
