King's POV
Not one message have I reviewed from Jesse today. She's probably doing something to figure out Reed.
Reed Lash.
I knew him, but he changed. Changed so much I didn't recognized him in this pack, and that he was the same Reed from the Midwest pack. I have a bad feeling about him. Not only did Reed disappear before his pack got destroyed, he left some evidence that it might have been him that did it. Also that meant that Jesse is his second chance as well. I was there when he found his first mate, rejected her for Nancy in this pack, and thus leaving Jesse for Nancy as well.
Reed Lash is one wolf that I need to figure out before he ruins things with Jesse and I.

"He makes me uneasy man. I swear he's up to something." I told Brad about my suspicions on Reed. Brad just rolled his eyes and told me to calm down and that I was overreacting. We'll see who is overreacting when he destroys us all.
I need to run. I said my goodbyes after I convinced Brad to not trust this pack's alpha and anything Reed Lash says.
I shifted once I got outside not caring if my clothes ripped apart. I needed to feel free, without restrictions. I need to feel the wind go through my fur. It hurts to shift, but after years you get used to the pain and it just becomes an ache.
My dark brown fur with hints of black is a sight I missed since coming here. I don't know why it's taking so long to finish this treaty. We've been here for weeks. It should have been dinner in days. We are making this treaty in case if one of our packs are going through with what happened in the Midwest Pack. Well I'm not complaining more time with Jesse is just what I need. I have to convince her to go with me.
She belongs to me.

"I belong to no one Lash. You're not my damned mate anymore so you have no say in what the fuck I want to do. I may be a bitch technically, but I'm not your bitch," I walked in on Jesse scolding Reed in the pack house living room. Damn right when I mentally thought it too. No one seemed to care about their argument.
"Reed, where is your mate Nancy? You know the one you marked and mated with? Or did you forget Jesse will feel everything in her precious body burn like hell," I interfered wrapping my arm around Jesse's shoulders. She looked at me annoyed, with her lips pursed, she's not happy with me.
"I can fight my own battles jackass," she muttered to me. I chuckled, but Reed looked like he was going to explode.
"Babe!" We all turned to see who was just entering the living room. It was Nancy, in a very revealing outfit may I add.
"Nancy! You can't just come out here in lingerie!" Reed seethed with fists at his sides.
"I thought you liked it. You said a day seeing me with this is a day in paradise. Do you not like it?" God, she is pretty ditsy. Jesse's eyes are so wide they could be dinner plates. Then she looked at me and covered my eyes with her hands.
"King don't look! She's trying to mate," Jesse said not so quietly.
"Oh my god. I didn't see you guys here. I'm so sorry. No wonder Reed is mad. I'll head to our room, and change," Nancy apologized and left. Once she was out of sight Jesse removed her hand. I bent down and whispered just loud enough for her to hear, "When we finally mate, you'd be wearing something way more sexy than that." That earned me a slap to the face and a blushing Jesse. I just chuckled because Reed glared at me, huffed, and left because he didn't anyone mating with Nancy on her way to their room.

I was laying on my bed when Jesse entered and in pain.
"I came here to see if being with you it will go away," she whispered. I barely caught her when she collapsed. Muttering violent things on how to end Reed while writhing in pain. I couldn't agree more on what she was saying.
Since our first date we had more casual dates always heading to that burger place. Homeless people under bridges on the way there has become a usual sight. Apparently they allow the homeless to sleep in tents in front of the city counsel building when it gets cold out. We've been growing closer and closer, but the only way to stop her pain is by marking her.
"Jesse, the only way I can stop it is by marking you," I told her.
"You know how I feel about that. Ah!" She said through her teeth right before screaming in pain. I took her to my bed and let her lay there. She doesn't want to be marked just yet; she wants to wait until she's completely sure that I won't hurt her like Reed did.
"It's the only way Jess," I mumbled holding her close to me as she twitches and grunts in pain.
She mumbled something I barely heard and could not believe.
"What was that Jesse?" Wanting to hear it again.
"Do the damn marking it if meant getting rid of this hell." I smiled and happily complied to do so.

So, King marked her. We reached 1k reads!! That's amazing! I won't lie, the weekends with my grandma are terribly boring that's why I updated so quickly, but this week I will start teaching! Conversational stuff nothing official like grammar and spelling. I wanted this chapter to fully be in King's view so you know the character a little more.Love the comments. :) they made my day especially since in the weekend I have no WiFi.
Vote and comment if you'd like. Follow if you really want to. Thank you lovelies!
