Chapter Eleven

After searching for a plausible reason to why Reed is third-in-command we came up with nothing. He didn't grow up in this area, he didn't know anyone besides Nancy (who by the way convinced him to come to this pack), he doesn't talk about his parents, or his other pack at all. Its like they don't even exist anymore.

"How the fuck is this possible?" I questioned out loud in astonishment.

"Bitch, the hell I would know," Nicole responded sounding tired. And entire afternoon of research went down the drain.

"Maybe I can ask King what pack he is from," I wondered out loud.

"That may help, but why would King know that?" Nicole asked

"King may know what the fuck happened with Reed and is background."

"That makes more sense. Again why would King know?"

"Because our own alpha won't tell us and he is a beta so therefore may have info on that. Plus he still needs to tell me what pack he is from." I said frowning.

"I know what pack they are from!" Nic exclaimed.

I turned my head to face Nicole so fast I may have gotten whiplashed.

"This is why I didn't tell you Jess. I knew you would hurt yourself."

"Woman shut up and tell me what pack! I need to know!" I screamed at her. She just rolled her eyes and proceeded to tell me.

Reed's POV
I know what Jesse's trying to do.

I know why she's doing what she's doing.

That won't stop me from keeping it from her though.

This is my secret and she doesn't need to know the truth of my past.

It was good at first then I made a mistake and it ended up horribly.

I practically made the same mistake again, but this time she's not dying. This time I will get her, and this time she will be mine.

No one will take her from me, not even her stupid second chance mate. I'm not losing my second chance, so she can get hers.

Even if it means I play the villain.

Jesse will be mine even if I have to kill King to get her. She belongs to me.

"Hey babe? You okay?" Nancy asked as she walked in my room.

Faking a smile I turned to her, "babe I am, why do you ask?"

"You don't touch me anymore. I thought, maybe, you don't love me like you did before." God she is annoying and clingy.

"If I didn't love you would I have done what I did to my old pack Nancy?"

"... No. You would have stayed with your mate if you didn't do what you did to your old pack." Honestly if she wasn't good in bed I would have killed her by now. That and she is an important asset for me, especially since I have Jesse.

"Exactly, I'm just not in the mood for sex recently."

"We only mated once though." She sounds like it wasn't enough. Before I marked her we pleasured ourselves all the time, but I don't want Jesse to feel inclined to mate with that bastard Beta of the East Appalachian pack. He doesn't deserve her. I do, not because he doesn't know that I killed his mate, but because I need her to finish what I started.

"If you like we can mate tonight." I need to get rid of my stress.

"Yes! Ok, I'll start getting ready I bought new lingerie!" And she turned and ran off. I rolled my eyes as the alpha walked in.

"L-lash?" He stuttered

"What do you want?" I barked

"I-I don't know how long I can keep lying to Jesse. She's going to find out the truth."

"WELL MAKE SURE SHE DOESN'T. THAT'S WHY I HAVEN'T CHALLENGED YOU FOR THE ALPHA TITLE. YOU ASSHAT!" I screamed at him. How dare he back out on me.

"I-I'm sorry! She is just too persistent! I know her very well and she won't stop until she gets what she wants."

"Did I fucking stutter Damon? I SAID I DONT WANT HER FINDING OUT AND IF THAT MEANS NO TREATY WITH THE OTHER PACK THAN BREAK THE MOTHERFUCKING TREATY SO SHE WILL NEVER FIND OUT!" I roared. He nodded and left me alone once more. Imbecile.

No one will get in my way of what I plan to do. Not even my second chance mate, I won't kill her, but I will hurt her. Either by making her forcefully mine, and having her hate me for life, or her being willing to do whatever it takes to make sure no one else gets hurt.

I know I didn't update in a while or on the damn plane. Its cause my phone was dying and my relatives only have my number so when I landed in México, I had 27% battery and when I got to my aunts car it died. It was a six hour flight including the timezone difference. I have limited WiFi only at my work place and at my aunts house. I never forget about you guys, but honestly I think the time for me to update although makes it seem like I forgot when I didn't is just so that I can thoroughly think if what to put in a chapter that wouldn't make it a filler. Cause fillers can get boring.

Oh, and I would like to ask if you want me to write sex scenes. I would like to know so I won't whip one out for ya.
