Lucy
Getting up in the middle of the night was more difficult than anticipated.

My eyes wouldn't open properly and for a few seconds I had wondered why I had set the alarm in the first place. But of course everything came rushing back to me at once. Still no panic attack. I knew it was going to happen, just not when. I wanted to get it over with already.

I had already written Gloria short note saying that she will see me again, I'm not suicidal and she should keep track of the news.

I quickly redid my hair in a tight braid that twirled into a bun in the middle of my head. This was to make sure that my hair wouldn't go all over the place while I was flying.

I quickly stuffed the files into the now full backpack and made sure that Gloria's grandfather's blind walking stick was folded up in there too.

Gloria told me how her grandfather passed away a few years ago and he was blind. She took his walking stick as a memento and with my eyes at the moment, It could be a very good disguise.

I put on my outfit in record time and made sure my weapons weren't visible. I also put on the professors big leather coat after cutting slits for my wings. I noticed that the temperature dropped dramatically while I was in the air and even though my nerves weren't affected, my body still was and I didn't want to catch something.

I placed the goggles into of my head and stuffed my sunglasses into one of the big leather pockets on the inside of the coat. I double checked my backpack and made sure that there hadn't been any more sightings of Tyler elsewhere.

The grand staircase was fairly new so there weren't any loud creeks as I made my way towards the kitchen.

Once I was there, I scoffed down an apple before grabbing two one litre water bottles from the refrigerator and placed them in the water bottle pockets on the outside of the backpack.

Then I silently moved to Gloria's guest room and she was snoring while murmuring indecipherable things in Russian. I then made my way back down the staircase to the back door once again through the kitchen.

It opened and closed with a quiet thump and I was then in the chilly outside air. I walked to the middle of the courtyard, an acre or so from the mansion.

My wings and tail... Came out... I guess...in record time, I was getting used to this. But the wings still tickled. I took another running jump into the air but this time, instead of leaping onto the manor, I got as high as I could before making myself parallel to the ground and snapping out my wings while at the same time, bringing my legs together and moving my tail muscles to spread the feathers.

I had to work more to get hight but it was worth it. No matter how many times I feel the wind catching on my feathers it would still be the best experience of my life.

The backpack was heavier than this morning so it made it more difficult to get to the height I wanted, but it was bearable. I once again took the dive from a few thousand feet, then levelled my self out again. The shoreline was east so I flew north west to get to my destination. Every time I started needing to work to stay the speed I was going, I would spiral up a few thousand feet and dive again, this made my journey a lot quicker than anticipated.

I had made sure to pack extra cloths, extra weapons, a lot of food, a map, compass and G.P.S, I also grabbed all of the money I had stolen from father's bank account for years. There was a lot... What could I say? I knew how to get things done.

Everything was so peaceful and surreal up here and for the first two and a half hours, it was quite relaxing. Annnnnd..... Queue the panic attack.

I couldn't even make a sarcastic comment in my head as unsettling questions bombarded my mind. But really, while I was flying? What if I get there too late? What if Tyler doesn't believe me? What if I get caught? What if my wings suddenly fail me and I fall?
