Lucy
The sun was just about to rise over the horizon.

"Stupid pill." I muttered to myself. This was probably an 'unknown side affect'. There wasn't anything else that could explain it. But what was 'it' exactly?

I took out the rest of the dried fruit and basically inhaled it. I was still peckish but I only planned on doing one shopping trip if I could. So I just took another three gulps of water to find two thirds of it gone.

I packed everything away again and got up from my comfy position on the floor. My wings ached a little from the sudden flying, but my body would have to adapt because I couldn't rest now.

I decided to put my wings away and climb the tree. A jumping start would be too much for my sore muscles. My backpack switched so that it was over my practically invisible wings.

As I was half way up the massive oak tree, I heard what was probably a group of hikers coming this way. The were a fair ways away, but if I didn't hurry, they would see me.

As I reached the top, I realised something, super hearing messes up your estimations. They were much closer then I thought because they were probably skilled and walking lightly. This must be a trail.

The broke my line of vision just as I spread out my tail. My arms were out as I was going to fall down a few metres first to help me with speed.

I froze in my spot, still with nothing showing on my face of course. There were seven of them... And they were all teenage boys. Great.

They were walking in a line as if following a trail. My suspicions were correct. The one at the front saw me, and yelled;

"Don't do it! You have so much to live for!"

I guess he thought I was suicidal...

They others were now yelling at me as well. I just waved at them before jumping.

The oak tree was around eight to nine metres tall, so I had to let my wings out quickly.

The snapped out and the boys just froze and looked at me with a combination of confusion, awe and surprise.

I flew in a little circle over them before slipping out my googles and putting them on. Then I waved once more and flew off towards the city, gaining hight as I did so.

This was the last city before the boarder. I should reach my destination by this afternoon. I quickly pulled the sunscreen from the backpack and put is all down my arms and the back of my legs. It was chilly, but the sun was still there.

Once I reached the city, I made sure that I was above the clouds, as I did for the last. Before I left I estimated that it would take about an hour to get past the city, but as I was going at least twice as fast as I thought, it was going to take less than half an hour.

There were no interruptions except for the geese. They just had to come back.

I felt degraded to say the least.

They stopped following me at the boarder, thank god. If Tyler saw me with a flock of geese behind me, it would be too embarrassing. I carried on past the boarder to the next city. It was the last one before my destination. I didn't bother remembering names as I wasn't going to stay there or anything.

Don't get me wrong, I was told to study geography, I know a lot about the world, I just couldn't be bothered to even read the names, just how far away they were from each other and where they were.
