Chapter 13: Save

“Guys! We’re out of food,” I tell them as I open the fridge, revealing that it’s empty.

“Go buy it then!” Nissi says to me.

“Me?! I did grocery shopping before is your turn Nissi!” I say to her.

“Dude! Please, I promise I’ll cook dinner later,” she say just making me mad.

“Lily just go,” Audrey smile as she comes out of her bedroom. I look at her.

“Wae? Are you scared going alone? Is just 6 o’clock,” she says looking at me innocently.

I have a bad feeling about this.

I get my wallet and go to the supermarket.

Everything is cheap so there’s no denying that I’m so happy. “Nissi have to make something good after I buy this cheap stuff,” I smile at myself.

“Kamsahamnida!” I say to the cashier and get out of the supermarket. I walk to the alleyway. I shouldn’t go to the alley because it’s night. But if I go to the alley it’s shorter to go home.

“Hey pretty lady,” a guy said using Korean and since I already improve my Korean I can understand clearly what he said to me. The guy and with a couple of his friends starts to surround me.

Ommo! I don’t know what to do! There are about five of them, my legs are jelly now. They start to touch me.

“Shouldn’t you be at home now? Hmmm you smell nice,” the guy is smelling my neck. I’m terrified.

Someone help me. Please!

I slap his hand away from my shoulder.

“Feisty,” he look at me.

“Please I’ll give you my money but please let me go!” I say in Korean even though my Korean was bad.

I’m scared for life.

“Let’s play!” he says and then his two friends hold my arms.

“Let go of me!” I scream and shout as they drag me somewhere. My groceries are everywhere now.

“Please l-l-l-let go!” I tell them but it was no use.

I suddenly spit in front of the guy face.

“Ya!” he shouts and wipe the spit.

“Punch and kick her!” he orders his friend. My eyes are wide they must be joking me. One of the guys suddenly punch my stomach. I hiss in pain as I drop to the ground.

They keep on hitting me. I close my eyes and think of happy place. There’s blood coming from my mouth and it hurts.

It’s painful.

Everything hurts.

The last thing before I close my eyes was a blur image of a person with a black coat.

My body is aching and it hurts everywhere especially my stomach.

“Ya wake up!” a voice wakes me up from my sleep.

“Yi Fan?” I take a look the surroundings. I’m in his bedroom since there are lots of posters of women.

That must be it…

I sit up and my back is burning.

“Ouch!” I hiss. I am such a baby whining over something…

But it hurts.

“Take this medicine!” he orders me. I look at myself he put a bandage around my wounded parts and it didn’t hurt as much like before. I take the pill and swallow it with hot water.

“Are you all right?” he says with his soft voice.

“I’m fine just a bit tired,” I smile weakly.

“That bastards I know I should kill them!” his voice is a bit harsh and I flinch back, “Don’t worry they’re now in jail,” he told me as I calm myself down a bit. It’s just so scary having those experience.

“Are you all right?” he looks at me as I stay quiet.

“I’m fine, thank you,” I smile at him and he smile for the first time to me.

My heart was beating fast, I know he’s handsome but I shouldn’t like him.

“I already called your friend that you’ll be staying with me tonight,” he says and I look at him.

“H-h-ho-“ I stutter. 

“I found your phone and I called Audrey” he says.

I don’t have any more strength to say anything and I know I need some sleep since its night. I close my eyes again and I begin to relax more.

“Do you think this just the end?” Audrey says to me. She smirks.

“What are you gonna do to me?” I’m sweating real hard. I am scared of what she becomes now.

“It’s not over yet my dear Lily,” she walks towards me as I walk backwards, away from her. Walking and I’m finally leaning towards the wall.

“Do you know why I hate you so much?” she asks. She smiles at me,“It’s because you took-“

“Ya, wake up!” Yi Fan shakes my body.

 I open my eyes to meet his worried eyes.

“Why are you shouting in your sleep?” he asks.

“It’s just a bad dream,” I tell him.

“If you can’t sleep you want me to make Hot chocolate?” he offers but I shook my head. I don’t want to trouble him.

“I’m going to sleep with you,” he makes a straight forward decision.

“Eh?” I look at him.

“I’m not going to do anything, since you’re in my bedroom I’m going to sleep with you. You make me trouble too much,” he says making me feel guilty.

“Now sleep!” he tells me as he lay beside me facing the other side. I look at him for a second and then lay facing the other side.

I am hoping morning will go quickly.
