Chapter 17: Being Stalkers

Every since today onwards I have a bad feeling. Something about Audrey, she keeps going home at 11 pm. Which make me feel strange, what the hell is she doing for that long?

But starting today I am going to find out what it is.

“Kamsahamnida,” Audrey bows. I look at her from far away as she buys the food. I don’t know what is she on about, but I am going to follow her. She walks out from the shop and she continues walking on the street. I walk quickly so that I could catch up with her.

She makes a left turn and I do the same and I find out she went into a bar. A bar? I never know there’s a bar well a famous one I might say. I walk in and the smell of alcohol hit me. Alcohol is all I could smell, it’s absolutely disgusting. Too many drunken men during day time.

“Hey sexy,” a man that so drunk come up to me.

I push him away before he does anything else. I search for Audrey and there she is sitting with a man. I sit behind them and keep turning my face away from her so she can’t see me.

As I sit I can see someone familiar.“Ya!” I call out when I see him basically flirting with a French woman in the corner of the room. Before I do anything else I stand up and go to where he is. “Yi Fan!” I shout at him.

“What are you doing here?” he looks at me before he turns to the French woman.

“Josephine blah blah blah…” is all I can hear before he turns to look at me.

“Now what are you doing here?” he ask with his old boring English tone.

“So tell me again, you’re spying on your friend?” we talk while we sit behind where Audrey is sitting.

“Shut up! They might hear us” I slap his shoulder and put my ear to the couch so I can hear what they are saying.

“Are you insane?” he asks but I order him to shut up.

“Audrey I love you, I want to get marry with you” I can hear a man’s voice.

“I am sorry but we couldn’t meet each other anymore, you’re ugly and pathetic,” she says and I gasp. She has a new boyfriend?! Ommo! She never tells me or Nissi. Or maybe she did tell Nissi but not me. Why not me? I don’t care about that for now, for now is that why is she dumping her new boyfriend?

“But I thought you love me!” my mouth is hanging open now.

Yi Fan does the same as me.

“I love you and you know that right?” he says.

“You’re a pig” she says and after that I can hear that man crying. I step away and make a face that tells that I am disgust.

At least my Korean is improving and I can hear what they are talking about.

“So that’s why she always goes home at 11 pm,” I say, so she always go at night to meet him and now is over.

Then before I do anything else Audrey stands up and I duck before she sees me and kill me. “Let’s go” I drag Yi Fan when he is about to drink an expensive wine.

“Where is she going next?” he asks me. I shook my head.

We follow her and she’s now in a neighborhood street. “Yi Fan! Don’t just stand there and play with your phone, come with me!” I scold him and turn to look at Audrey. She’s going to one of the houses.

“Audrey what a lovely surprise you are here!” an older woman says to her. I try to peek from the gate and see them talking and laughing.

They get inside the house while I stay outside waiting for her to get out.

It’s boring and finally Audrey is getting out of the house. I hide in the bush with Yi Fan. I look at Yi Fan’s face and he is going to sneeze. I pinch his nose but it’s no use he sneezes.

Suddenly Audrey looks to our direction. Damn it! Think Fast Lily!

With my amazing brain...

“Meow… Meow…” I start to make a cat sound luckily she looks away and wave good bye to the old woman.

“Thanks,” Yi Fan say to me in a whisper. I glare at Yi Fan I almost get caught because of him.

Now that Audrey's gone I stand up along with him and clean up any dirt from my clothes.

“Lily?” I hear the woman’s voice and she’s saying my name in English.

How does she know my name?

 “Me?” I point at myself.

“What are you doing there? Come my child,” she says and I turn to look at Yi Fan and he looks as confused as me.

“Aigoo! I miss you so much. Who’s this lovely man?” the woman says as she drag me into the living room.

“You guys look cute as a couple,” she says like the nurse that I met previously. Why can’t just people stop saying we are a couple?!!

"I'll make some tea, please stay" the old woman say as we nodded

“So many pictures” I say looking at the living room.

“Do you remember anything?” she asks.

What the hell is she talking about?

“Eh….?” I scrunch my eyebrow.

“Nothing, forget what I say,” she smiles sweetly and give me and Yi Fan green tea. I start to feel that I’ve met this woman before.

We chat for a while and two hours later I  get out from her house. Seriously I feel like I know her or is it just my mind?

“Yi Fan, I feel like I know her,” I told him as we walk on the street.

“Lily if Audrey and Hanisah has a connection to someone they know you will also have a connection with that person in this world,” he grip my shoulder, ordering me to look at him.

“How do you go to back to your real world if you don’t want to be here anymore?” I ask curiously. He tightens the grip on my shoulder.

“I hate to tell you this but the only thing you can do to go back to your real world before the time is up is either you die,” he explains.
