Kate's POV

Me and David are walking out the door to Matt's dorm room since he offered to drive us to David's practise. Well offered isn't really the right word for it, it was more like he ordered us to let him takes us there. I asked why that was and apparently it was because one time they planned to hang out and left Matt behind, honestly I can't blame them, Matt can be really difficult sometimes.

As soon as everyone got there, we went to Matt car. I was kind of worried that we weren't going to fit but it turned out Matt owns a six seater car which was a coated with a light blue colour. When the car was in view Kenny started running at the same time he was yelling;

"Shotgun and bids on the window seat."

Matt and Kenny sat in front with Eliot between them, which was great since Matt and Kenny tend to get on each other's nerve a lot but I felt sorry for Eliot. I was stuck in between Don and David. It felt really weird seating next to the guy I love but can't date and the his gay friend who has a crush on me but doesn't know I'm actually a girl. We couldn't have a conversation, to which I was totally relieved about because Matt turned the music to full blast, so if we had to have a conversation we would have to shout.

All the way there, I keep making a mental list of what I have to do there. First of all is keep an eye on all the players especially Antonio, the guy who became captain after David left, who has a motive and the coach who doesn't seem to have a motive but looks suspicious. And I also have to make sure that David doesn't get hurt.

We arrived at the court and started walking towards the door. I walked slower than I normally do because I needed to tell David about who I think are the suspects, so I make sure David stays next to me and both of us fell back from the others.

"Okay, we're in enough distance that the others won't overhear, so what do you want to tell me, is it that you change your mind and want to get together?

He says all too hopefully, he also raised an eyebrow and let his lips curve into a smile.

"No, I just wanted to tell you that Antonio could be the person who's sending those text, he's got a motive."

David let out a laugh.

"And what motive would that be?"

"That he was captain after you left, which was the first time you received those threats, and now that you returned he got demoted and you start receiving those text again. Plus he didn't look happy to see you back, at all."

He shook his head and pressed his lips together, trying to contain a laugh.

"That is a good reason but Antonio's not exactly capable of doing those things, besides he likes to give a direct approach on things. So Antonio is innocent."

I roll my eyes, this is typical behaviour of any of relatives and friends of murderers. Denial is an ugly thing, it makes the sting a lot worse.

"Murderers were once innocent too you know, you can be surprised what a person is capable of."

"Look, I love to hear your theories some other time but I got to go get changed for practise and the only thing that can stop me in my tracks is you saying you'd go out in a date."

And with that he sprinted inside, into the changing rooms, the place which I dare not to go. I look around the court and see Antonio talking to some guys and so far he's not a threat, then I look for the coach and I see someone wearing the coach's uniform but it's not him. I went to sit on the bleachers next to the guys, well next to Don since he saved me a sit.
