Chapter 23: A dream comes true

Derek woke up and was completely confused because he remembered how collapsed. Three blankets wrapped him, and Cora saw him awake and hugged him. Malia came to hug him, too. Braeden examined the window.

"You notice this weapon?" Braeden inquired, concerned. "I will murder you with it if you do what you did one more time."

"Live there," commanded Cora, and thought. "Guess who saved us?"

"I don't know," replied Derek, and questioned. "What hour is it?"

"Ten tonight," responded Malia, and disclosed. "La Bête with his pack saved."

"They did something? How is the forecast?" wondered Derek and got up.

"Edward zaps you while we wrapping in blankets," related Cora, who solved. "They leave when they are sure you are okay."

"You are feeling okay?" wondered Braeden.

"I have headaches," murmured Derek and rubbed his head.

"What was on your mind?" "You almost died if they didn't rescue us," Cora asked.

"The unique thing that matters is your safety," mentioned Malia and opened the TV.

"You desire to swallow something?" wondered Braeden and cooked something.

"Offer me some aqua," requested Derek.

"Drink and try to rest, because in the morning we arrive at Beacon Hills," suggested Cora.

"What did you achieve?" wondered Malia.

"I contact Tess and ask her if she completes the research," informed Braeden.

"You believe La Bête will revive our parents?" wondered Derek and burst into tears.

"Is an excellent man and could murder all for the first time," replied Malia, and wondered. "What to say about us?"

"You also rescued us," Cora added, before continuing. "Is not the person she used to be?"

"It's one thing to save someone from death; it's quite another to keep him alive and make him feel better," Cora explained.

"What about the forecast?" wondered Dere and forget the tv was open.

"Everything is normal," answered Braeden.

Vincent came from work and found Tess and Catherine looking at the television. Tess accomplished speaking with Braeden about the high-profile case. They believed Derek would be healthy after having the hyperthermia attack. Tess deleted all pieces of the report with the help of Catherine in the case field named Hell and Back.

"Contact Brendan," Vincent advised.

"Has something gone wrong with Derek?" asked Tess intrigued by the situation.

"How do they heat Derek?" wondered Catherine.

"La Bête rescued him, and they left after making sure Derek was okay," Tess explained, adding. "Edward zapped him, and Braeden wrapped Derek in three thick blankets."
