*Kelly's POV*

As soon as Coach said that Perrie could be taken away Hope's face dropped. My heart broke as I saw the pain in her eyes. Hope could be a closed off person but she opened her heart to Perrie right away. There was no way we could let her lose her.

I was broken out of my thoughts when I saw Hope sprinting out of the room. I didn't think about it and I just ran after her. I heard footsteps behind me and I knew without looking that it was Carli. We both knew that each of us had a crush on Hope, so it was kind of awkward between us. It'd be easier if I could bring myself to dislike her but I couldn't it's not her fault that she shares the same feelings I do!

We had been chasing Hope for a few blocks before she came to a stop in a park, sliding down a tree trunk, her face in her hands.

I cautiously slid down next to her, not wanting to make things worse. Carli soon caught up and slid down on the other side. We sat there in a silence for a while until Hope suddenly spoke up.

"I promised her. I promised her I'd keep her safe. I can't break it!" Hope said, finally looking up. Her normally steely gaze was now full of pain and fear.

"I know. And you won't. You'll figure something out. You always do." I tried to comfort her.

"Yeah. It'll be okay. We're all here for her, and we know you'll tackle anyone who tries to take her, and you'll have help." Carli added.

Hope cracked a small smile just as all our phones went off.

"They took Perrie to the hospital and apparently the doctors called the police and she's freaking out and looking for you Hope." Carli said.

We all looked at each other and took off running. We didn't stop until we reached Grey-Sloan Memorial Hospital.

We ran to the elevator and I checked my phone. "She's in room 408."

Hope jabbed the 4th floor button so hard I was afraid she'd break it, and we all tapped our feet impatiently. It seemed like it took forever until the elevator finally stopped at the floor we needed.

We just stepped onto the 4th floor when we heard a blood-curdling scream followed by a terrified shout.

"GET AWAY FROM ME! LEAVE ME ALONE!!"

We all looked at each other and took off running toward the familiar voice. We burst into the room to find the team standing, most not sure what to do. Alex, Tobin, Moe, Ashyln, Abby and Kling were all standing around Perrie protectively as she flinched away from a police officer and some lady carrying a briefcase.

Perrie winced as the woman put a hand on her arm, and she whimpered in fear.

"Get your hand off of her." Hope snarled, going into her intimidating mode as she came closer.

The officer turned to us and said "Sorry Ma'am, it's just we took her Dad to jail but since she's still a minor and has nobody who is willing to take her in, she has to go with Ms.Baggins the Social Worker."

The social worker had moved her hands, but she was starting to look angry and frustrated, which scared Perrie.

"Listen brat, you have to come with me whether you like it or not, so stop acting like a crybaby." The so-called social worker snarled to Perrie, seemingly forgetting that we were all here. Once again clamping her arm around Perrie's wrist, this time much tighter.

Perrie squeaked in pain her eyes wide with fear, and Moe, Ashlyn and Hope all charged toward her. Carli and I held Hope back, Kling and Tobin held Moe back, and Ali and Alex had to hold back Ashlyn.

"I swear if you don't get your dirty hands off of her it won't end well for you." Moe said angrily, surprising all of us. The rest of the team including Dawn and Jill came closer, ready to intervene.

"Well it's not like you can do anything. Nobody wants her. She's worthless just like her Dad says." I was seeing red and we all froze when she raised her hand to slap Perrie.

Perrie tensed up, looking terrified but resigned. Before I could unfreeze myself Ms.Baggins hand slammed toward Perrie's face. We all shouted, but before the blow landed, a hand caught her wrist.

We all looked up to see Abby there, uncharacteristically angry, a wild look in her eyes.

"You don't touch her." She screamed in the woman's face.

Ms.Baggins backed up, a grimace on her face. "What do all of you bitches want? She has to go with me unless you want her living on the streets." She snarled. "She doesn't have anyone who wants her and she never will!"

"You're wrong." A strong voice spoke up, and we all turned around to see Hope glaring at the woman.

"What do you know something I don't?" The woman snarled, and Carli now had to hold me back. I swear this woman is just begging for me to rearrange her face.

"Yeah, as a matter of fact, I do. I know someone who wants to be her guardian." Hope said calmly, but I swear her tone could cut through ice.

Ms.Baggins started laughing rudely. "Who would want that?" She jabbed, making Perrie cower. Moe and Pinoe pulled her into a protective embrace.

We all looked at Hope curiously, wondering what she had up her sleeve.

"Me. I will adopt her." Hope said, causing all of our jaws to drop.
