Chapter 17

Dan's POV

"So it's possible?" I frowned at my grandfather

"Yes, it is very rare of course. It only happens on human mates, such as you Alicia. The first person that mates on you feels the effect as soon as you meet her and the second, after you meet." he paused for a second and glanced over to me "You will feel pain between you when you are away and the usual mate stuff but Dan you didn't mate properly as Alicia already had Chris so you won't find another mate. There is a reason for it, you will find out soon. Having a six sense also means you have more of a chance of mating twice,like you Alicia."

I couldn't believe it. I had half mated but I could never mate again. I could never love again. I glanced over at Alicia, who had turn pale white again, she was quiet obviously struggling with the fact that she couldn't choose who and why she was in the position.

I now understand everything, we sorted the last few years out. I have accepted my fate, I know I will lose my Alpha position but I can't help it.

Chris's POV

-Some time before-

"Maybe Alicia, we will find out later." I sighed, I loved Alicia so much and she was mated with another wolf shifter.

"I know who can help us but first we should explain everything." Dan said

"Me too." Alicia sighed "I ran away because I could tell Dan's feelings. I looked into his eyes and saw that he was upset, mourning. I just assumed that, it was you Chris. You killed him. I didn't listen. I'm so sorry."

"I sorry for kidnapping you and thinking of killing you Alicia. I'm also sorry for accusing you of killing my father but I'm not sorry I half mated on your beautiful mate." Dan smiled and Alicia blushed which caused us both to laugh at her.

"Stupid werewolf shifter mates." she grumbled under her breath

"Super, amazing hearing remember?" I said

"I guess I will never get used to some shifter things, especially being able to tell how someone is feeling by looking into their eyes and mating on you two. I'm just going to have to accept it though, at least on the bright side my life will never be plain boring again!" Alicia's eyes light up as she mentioned having an non-boring life.

"What really happened? Who killed my father?" Dan asked

"Alex did." I paused and continued telling him the rest of my story

Alicia's POV

I smiled at the two boys sat in front of me. If I wasn't mistaken they both could've been best friends from a young age by the way they were acting. I knew they would get along even better if they spent more time together but I knew it was never going to happen. I was most likely to never see Dan again which was very understandable as he wouldn't want to see me with anyone else but I was going to miss him, even though I trusted him, disliked him and then loved him I knew he was never going to kill me deep down when I saw him with the knife. He had loved me, without even knowing it at the start, from the beginning because he was destined to. What hurt me the most was I loved both of them but I could only be with one so I had to leave another behind and whats even worse the one I left behind can never fall in love again. Chris was my future, Dan's short time with me was the past. It was time to get over with it and do what was right.

There will most probably be a sequel but not for a while, I have a slight plan and ideas but no title! I'm thinking of 'In Love with a werewolf shifter' or actually that's all I've got :,(.

The next book about Alicia will be set in the future and will be mainly about Alicia's life as a young adult after marrying Chris and giving birth but there will be an more exciting twist cause that above sounds slightly boring but I can't tell you until I write it or it will spoil the surprise!!
