Chapter Thirty Eight

Lucy's POV:

"Natsu..." I said in a comforting tone. But he didn't listen. Natsu shot up a hand signaling me to stop talking.

"I'm fine; I don't need your words of comfort," he said with a strong smile. "I'll get through this, I'm sure." I frowned. As much as Natsu deserves this for being so oblivious to his own feelings, I hate seeing him upset. I just wish there was something I could do, but it's not my place to meddle in their affairs. "Do you wanna maybe hang out today?"

"Yeah, okay," I said. "What do you want to do?"

"I don't know..." Natsu shrugged. "I'm gay now -- What do gay guys do?" I laughed at Natsu's naive answer. He blushed and said, "W- what?"

"Natsu, you can't just do gay stuff, it's not a thing. You're still the same person," I explained. "And you've always been gay, you just never realized it."

"Oh..." Natsu said. "Wanna get makeovers?"

"Hell yeah!" I said and giggled. I never imagined going to get makeovers with my bestfriend before, and suddenly, and thought crossed my mind, Maybe realizing he's gay has changed him...

Natsu's POV:

After getting a makeover with Lucy, I felt absolutely ridiculous. There was powder on my face that made me want to sneeze, my hair was sticky with hairspray, and I was wearing some weird outfit that only guys in magazines would ever actually wear. Lucy, on the other hand, looked really good. Her hair was tied up and sparkly, and she was wearing a pretty summer dress. I glanced in the mirror one more time to confirm that I did indeed, look strange.

"What's the point of this again?" I asked.

"To make you look pretty," Lucy said. She grabbed my hand and began pulling me out of the store. "Now let's go to the guild and show it off. Hehe. You'll turn all the guy's heads!" I wanted to tell her that I didn't care about any of the guys -- nobody but Gray -- but I smiled and nodded. Gray is in a relationship, it'd be awful of me to try to seduce him now.

Gray's POV:

Juvia wanted me to go back to the guild so she could rest, but as much as I wanted to, I was scared I'd spoil the surprise. So I just sat in the back corner of the guild with a drink, forcing myself to keep my mouth shut. Suddenly, I heard the guild doors slam open. I looked over to see Natsu and Lucy. They were both all dressed up. Natsu looked absolutely adorable. His charming pink hair was just slightly less messy than usual, and he had on a cute little black vest over a white button up shirt. It might actually be the most adorable thing I had ever seen.

"Umm... Gray?" I turned around. Cana had taken a break from her barrel of sake and was gazing at me curiously. "Your nose is bleeding. All over the table."

I've had such an eventful day :3.... I'm fucking exhausted. *Sigh*. At least I have exams tomorrow to look forward to-- Wait a minute. FUUUCKK... Vote, follow and all that shit.
