Chapter 9

The bell rings as everyone starts to gather their supplies up as I lean back in my chair to take a look of what I have created slowly rounding everything into a pile to carry. Once I get everything together I grab I paper and hand it to the teacher who is ticking off names " name ? " she questions as I hand her the paper to put on the pile " uh Taylah " I say waiting for her to just tick my name off so I can go see Rob " ah nice " she says ticking my name off as she picks up my paper to look at my drawing " oh my " she sounds shocked like I had handed her a sandwich or something thinking about a sandwich makes my stomach hurt cause I love sandwiches to much and she can't take my sandwich I have no idea what I'm think as she clicks her black painted fingers in my face " it's pretty good " she gives me a smug smile as I walk away quickly hoping I got a good mark. Walking around in break is like walking in a theme park people everywhere some know where they are going other like me could use a map at some times. I start to move a little faster trying to get to the other side of school like what does computer skills need to be so far away theses day I think as I almost run into someone else " sorry " I say walking past the person I didn't even make eye contact with , jeez that was close Taylah you need to stop running into everything just looking up to see Rob at my locker " I'm dead " I say snapping him out of his little day dream " wow already dead I'm guessing long class " he says as half time bell goes, I stuff everything into my locker bouncing up and down to see if I left my sandwich from the other day " yes " I basically yell as Rob acts like I just screamed like a fangirl into his ear as I jump up to reach the back of my locker to retrieve the long lost sandwich " what is that ?" Rob says giving me a look that I can read saying is that food or what ? I laugh at his face as I lock my locker " my sandwich " I say opening the bag and ants come out " great " I say disappointed well this is what I get for leaving food in my locker as I throw the ant house into the bin. Rob gives me a pity laugh as I hit his arm " don't laugh at my sandwich that is dead , RIP sandwich " I say acting like I'm about the cry " banter the sandwich was a lie.

"Now class what would be used in the case to form a chemical reaction to the human cells to affect one humans system " my science teacher says pointing to a weird looking diagram that is on the board as the bell rings as a bunch of boys run out of the classroom saying " saved by bell " to leave the teacher alone with around 6 of us left. She takes a deep breath before attempting to start new sentence " it would be a good idea to read over your notes and keep them safe seeing this will apart of the end of year test " as I pick up my book looking and the bunch of letter and number all down on only one page I'm already confused.

I open my locker to see a little note in it
"my father picked me up, will back by second break tomorrow.

Well rip walking home with Rob or either Lachlan I think grabbing some books to look over tonight and put them into my bag before lifting in over my shoulder to close my locker, it's kinda quiet and I hope nobody sees me alone. I quickly lock my locker before heading out the front gate and to see it mostly empty which is a good and a bad thing but who knows. The stairs seem longer then usual as I keep my head down as other groups laugh about who knows what most likely stupid I say to myself as something hits my waist and not just anything something it's a someone , I stop in my tracks as arms warp around me from behind and before I notice a head on my shoulder as my body is frozen but the feeling is amazing the sudden feeling of butterflies comes over my stomach as I slowly inhale the sense, it's Lachlan. I grab his hands and slowly remove them for my waist and turn around to face him he doesn't lift his face up but I can tell some of its bruised and his collar bone is swollen and a dark shade of purple I don't say anything I have nothing to say even if I did nothing is coming out right now so I just do what I can not saying a word a carefully take his wrist and lead him out of school gates. This is going to be a long walk home of we don't really talk but just knowing his alive and breathing near me is good enough for me.

Mitch's POV
" you didn't have to get into this " I saying looking up to make eye contact with Noah who is sitting on the other side of the hospital waiting room with a ice pack on his neck " I can't have you dying on me " he says laughing Noah is honesty a great guy all I did was call him and when the other guys got my phone they started saying some bad things and about piper his madly in love with her he rushed to protect her and even know we haven't known each other well I can all ready tell his gonna be a good friend to have.
