Chapter 3

"T-Taylah" he says a confused look on his face as he sits down next to me. I don't make eye contact I put my journal in my bag as my hands start to shake as I feel a cold hand touch me. I stop as if his hand was trying to win over my body "can we talk" he says. I quickly snap out of it grabbing my bag still not looking at Lachlan. I start to walk away my breath gets deeper as I think what he could be up to. " Taylah look" I can feel his body becoming closer to mine as I try to keep on walking. Until I run into something but it's not a something but a someone "sit down" Lachlan says.I finally look up to face him as he sits down pulling me with him.

I sit down where now on the oval in the open. I pull down my selves as he moves his hair out of his face. I decide that it is the time to speak up "so.... What did you want to talk about then" I say playing with the grass my head in my hands trying not to look at Lachlan "well I just wanted to see if you where..... Okay" he says I can tell his nervous about something as his voice shakes.

"Why would you care" I say in maybe a to hash tone he goes to say something but shuts his mouth.

"Why does anyone care"

If anyone did I would not feel like this but it's me

I'm unwanted and needed, everyone would be happier if I just died

That's what my mum tells me that what everyone tells me

Even you" I say as a wet tear slowly comes down my now red face. I look up Lachlan to see his eyes now looking like glass as he slowly looks down on me.

He cups my cheek with one hand using the other to wipe away my tears

"I'm sorry" he says pulling me into his warmth. I start to cry as I feel more tears down my face. He warps his hands around me as he gets to one of my cuts and I flinch a little hoping he dose not notice but as the thought crosses my mind he keeps his hands on my wrist. I hold onto my jumper as he pulls me out of his hug and for some reason I don't think my body wanted to leave.

He try's to pull up my sleeves as I hold them down "Taylah please " he says trying again he slowly pulls it up as I try and cover my face but I can still see. I look at my arm I didn't realise how bad they where till I saw them now. Lachlan's face is now coved in tears. "Was this because of me" he says running his hands over every cut. I don't say anything just give a little nod scared to break out into tears. But then he dose something that I don't expect he kisses one of my cuts as I look at him but his eyes are only on my skin as he softly says "sorry"

He dose it to everyone of my cuts as more tears come down both of our faces as he gets to the last one he slowly looks up at me our eyes meeting as he sits up. I look away to embarrassed to look at him as he generally grabs my face and makes me look at him. "I'm going to fix this okay?" He says slowly getting up picking up his bag "you really want to fix it Lachlan" I say picking up my bag. I stand up having to look up at him seeing as he is taller then me "yes I do" he says hugging me,I hug him back enjoying the feeling as I lay my head on his chest.

"It's getting late promise me you won't cut" he says kissing me on the cheek and then turns and walks away. I stand there just waiting for someone to slap me as I watch him walk away till I can't see him I look down at my feet thinking about everything that Lachlan had just said remembering everything from his cold hands on my shoulder to every kiss on every cut but that was only on my right arm I don't want him to see the rest.

"I promise Lachlan" I say quietly looking down at my feet as I my bag on my shoulder and start to walk home. I start kicking rocks humming my song as I walk around the streets till my heart drops as I see my mums car in the drive way. I take a deep breath I notice that Piper's car is gone but Noah's car is still here..... Great.

I grab my key out of my pocket as I put it in the lock awaiting my mothers face. I open the door with care as I don't get yelled and nothing hits me. I take my shoes off and but my bag down slowly "Something not right" I say confused as I start heading into the well it's meant to be called family room but it's just a room to me. I hear laughter as I get closer and peek my head around I see Noah in a nice clean shirt and jeans and another guy who seems to have blond hair and in a black top and jeans and then there's my mum in a red dress wait what.

My mum would never buy anything like that. "Oh hey sweetie" mum says she has a pearl necklace on with what look like diamond earrings and her hair all done. "Hello" I say confused as Noah and this random guy look over at me. "Take a seat" she says pointing to a seat next to Noah. I walk over there as feel all there eyes on me. "Brady this is my daughter Taylah" my mum says pointing at the Brady "nice to finally meet you Taylah" he says very formal "hello" I say trying to fit in to this formal style.

"Well I must be going now bye kids bye sweetie" Brady says getting up kissing mum before he leaves. I keep my mouth shut till the door closes I can tell Noah's doing the same. As the door shuts I hear mum take a deep breath "Taylah your useless you can't even wear anything nice" she says pulling on my jumper as she slaps me "who the was that guy" I say starting to get anger. "Well I didn't want to tell you but I guess you can just read the note cause none off you are worth my time".
