CHAPTER 9: BAOZI FOR THE INJURED

Chaeyeon's POV~

How I hate being injured.

I'm sitting on the couch in my apartment, staring into space.

*Sigh*

~Flashback~

I wake up in the school infirmary, my whole body aching.

"Why did they do this to you?"

I turn my head and see Luhan, his deep brown eyes staring at me.

Was he here the whole time I was sleeping?

"Umm...." I say, not wanting him to know that I got injured because of him. 

"It was because of me, right?" Luhan says unexpectedly.

"Uhh.......yeah."

He sighs. "I'm sorry."

Wait. What?

He just said 'sorry.'

I didn't even know that word was in his vocabulary.

"It's okay. I'm fine." I say.

He looks unconvinced.

"Don't worry. Nothing like that will happen to you again." Luhan says.

"Eh?"

"I will protect you. The rest of Exo are also here for you."

My heart flutters. Why is he acting like this now?

And since when did I become good friends with Exo?

"You're my servant. Of course you can't be injured." He says.

Of course. I'm his servant, that's why he's so caring. Of course.

"Thanks." I say without looking at him.

~~Silence~~

*BAANGG!!!!*

"Chaeyeon sshi!!! Are you alright now??!!" Xiumin sshi appears in the doorway after smashing the door open.

"Ah, yeah. Thank you." I say smiling at him.

"Here!!! I brought you some baozi to eat!!! They always make me feel better!!!" He says and grins widely.

This guy is so funny.

"Thanks Xiumin sshi." I take the bag of baozi from him and put it on the table next to me.

"Eh? Xiumin sshi???" Xiumin says, frowning. "You're my friend now, don't be so formal."

I'm his friend???

"Then what should I call you?" I ask.

"Umm.....Xiumin oppa!!!" He says beaming.

What? Oppa?

I'm not comfortable calling people that....but it's so hard to say no to Xiumin sshi.

"Okay! Xiumin oppa!" I say, smiling.

I look at Luhan next to me and he is giving me this 'are you serious' look.

What is wrong with this guy...?
