Love Like Magic// Chapter 19

I decided to get a head start on my packing up. I avoided Cally since the incident. I think she understands that I need space. I heard footsteps behind me. They came closer. Someone was breathing down my neck. The hand grabbed mine. I sighed, loving that Oliver was here for me all the time. "What do you want Oliver?"

"Last time I checked, my name isn't Oliver." My breath hitched. I released from his grip and walked back. I was looking into Stephen's cold eyes. "What do you want?" He chucked.

"We never talk. What's new?"

"Are you kidding me?

"Dead serious. We got off on the wrong foot."

"You think I want to talk to you? After all you've done?"

"I told you, we got off wrong. I want to start over."

"What makes you think I'm willing to start over? I never can. I suffer depression, I'm suicidal, all thanks to you. They think I'm insane."

"I don't."

"What are you talking about? You hate my guts!" He walked closer to me. I backed up into the wall. He looked around the room and down the halls. He walked back over to me and handed me a little book.

"What's this?"

"Answers. Why you hate me is in there. I wrote down everything I am going to tell you. Promise to not tell a soul."

"Can I tell Oliver?"

"When the time comes, but not yet." He looked back again and took a deep breath.

"I am not who you think I am," he started in a whisper. "I've been under the Imperius curse for the past 2 years I've been at school. My father put it on me. He was trying to kill you."

I was very confused. "Why is your dad trying to kill me?"

"Because my dad found a weapon, a wand that is like no other. It takes four certain wizards to activate it and he can destroy the wizarding world and help his master."

"What does this have to do with me?"

"The four wizards I was talking about? He knows them all. We only have one so far. I think you know who that is."

I was confused. I thought for a minute, then realized who it was. Brandon was one of the wizards they needed. I brought my hand up to my mouth. I couldn't believe it. "Who are the others?"

"I'll just say it, you." I took a deep breath. This can't get worse. "Garrett Pine and....."

"Who's the other guy?"

He looked at me sympathetically. "Oliver Wood." I backed into the wall. I couldn't believe it. This can't be happening. I took a deep breath. "You okay?" he asked. "Yeah, I'm good," I nodded. "Who is the other guy?"

"Garrett Pine." That name was a bit familiar. "He sounds familiar, do I know him?"

"You know him, you've just never met him." I was confused. "How do I know him?"

"He walked out on his family 17 years ago. Had a wife and two kids. You brother knew him, but not well. Your mother knew him best." I thought a minute.

"Oh my god." It dawned on me. "He's my father." He nodded. "I know how to fix all this. We have to do it next year. I have a plan on how to not be put under the Imperius curse. I'll help you and Oliver and make sure none of it happens." I nodded. "Thanks you." I gave him a hug.

"What the hell?" I broke away and saw Oliver. "Oliver, no. It's not what it looks like. Don't hurt him!"

"Why shouldn't I?"

"Cause you and me can be dead without him!" He stepped back. Stephen explained the whole situation to him. He nodded, taking it all in. Oliver brought me in a hug. "Nothing will happen to you, I promise." He kissed my head and pulled me in closer. I wrapped my arms around his waist. "So who is this master of his?"

"I think his name is Voldemort."

Wow, okay. The story's changing, dang. I know this doesn't happen, but let's change the story and make it cool, okay? Alright, I'll shut up and talk to ya later. All the love, Abby<3
