The Yule Ball was right around the corner. Of course, Oliver asked me to go. Angelina, Katie, a few other Gryffindors and I went dress shopping. I had no clue what to wear. All the other girls had found their dresses. I was scanning the racks, trying to find the one. "Violet, come here!" Katie squealed. I walk over to see her holding a dress. It was short, just under the knee. It was a salmon color. It was plain, but I don't like too much on a dress. "Go try it on!" Angelina encouraged me. I got into the changing room and put it on. I looked at my reflection in the mirror and I knew, this was the one.
I walked out to show the girls. They all gasped. "You look beautiful! Oliver is going to love it!" I started blushing.
Tonight was the ball. I did my hair, put on very little make-up, and met up with the girls. I started to get a little nervous. "What if he doesn't like it?" Angelina stopped and turned around. "He will love it. He loves you in sweatpants and a t-shirt." I took a deep breath and walked down the stairs. I spotted Oliver. He had his back to the stairs, talking to some friends. He decided not to wear dress robes, but a nice tuxedo. Some of his friends spotted me. They stopped their conversation. "What is it?" Oliver questioned. His friend turned him around to face me. His jaw dropped. I giggled at his actions. "You look beautiful!" I pulled him into a hug. He pulled back and kissed my forehead. He offered his arm. "Shall we?" "We shall!" I said, causing us to both laugh.
We were having so much fun. We were dancing with our friends, having a few butter-beers, enjoying life. A slow song started to play. "May I have this dance, m'lady?" I took Oliver's hand and we walked to the dance floor.
I rested my head on his shoulder. He kissed the side of my head. "I love you so much," he whispered into my ear. "I love you more."
"No way, I love you much more!""Keep believing that."
He laughed and kissed my head again. We left the ball a bit later. As we were walking out, I realized I forgot my handbag. "I'll be back." I walked into the ball room. I grabbed my bag and started to head out, when someone grabbed my arm. "Where do you think you're going, m'lady?" I released from his grip. "Don't call me that." "Oh, sorry. You've got that pathetic boyfriend who almost killed himself las-" "That was your fault! Just, leave me alone." I started to walk out. The last words he said sent shivers down my spine.
"Sweet dreams."
I AM SO SORRY FOR THE WAIT!! I know I'm a horrible person, blame me. I will try to update more often. I was thinking about starting another story. If you have any ideas, give me some feedback. Thanks! All the love, Abby.
