Alison and Emily were back in Charlotte's apartment laying on Alison's bed in her room.

Alison: Mom has offered to let us stay with her.

Emily: No! Hell no. I'm not moving in there.

Alison: Yes, you are. Em, you have to. Please.

Emily: Okay Ali. But only for you.

Alison: Thank you Em. Hopefully it won't be long. We graduate soon and maybe then we could get our own place.

Emily: Yeah that sounds nice. I guess we better get packing.

Alison: Actually could you just hold me awhile then we'll go.

Emily: Sure. No problem.

Emily wrapped Alison in her arms as Emily layed her head on Emily's chest.

Few days later

Mrs. DiLaurentis: Found everything you need?

Emily: Um... Yeah.

Mrs. Dilaurentis: I'm sorry it's so chilly. Furnace is acting up. I've called someone to come over and have a look at it. Can I get you girls anything? I have those vanilla wafers that you all used to like.

Emily: Um... No, thanks. I should unpack.

Mrs. Dilaurentis: I'll get you some hangers.

Emily (Sighs ): You know, I... I don't really wear things that need to be hung up.

Mrs. Dilaurentis: There are fresh towels in the linen closet, and... I made extra keys. I really want you to make yourself at home here, Emily.

Emily: Thanks, Mrs. D.

Mrs. Dilaurentis: It's so nice to see you girls back in this room. It's like you never left.

She goes downstairs.

Emily: Why are you so quiet?

Alison: Just not sure if I really want to be back here.

Emily: Why don't you lie down and I will get us something to eat.

Alison: Okay thanks.

Emily goes downstairs.

Mrs. Dilaurentis: Looking for something, dear?

Emily: Um... Yeah, I... I was just gonna go and get something to eat.

Mrs. Dilaurentis: Well let me make you something. Have a seat.  ( Sighing she indicates a chair to her left ) Just move that stuff out of the way.

(Papers fall into the floor and Emily helps her pick them up. She notice a large manila envelope. Mrs. Dilaurentis sees her eyeing it.)

My husband has decided to divorce me. I'm fine, really. I'm just... Dealing with the initial shock of it.

You think you know somebody so well, but then... Something that you both counted on changes, and... You find out who they really are. Just wish it hadn't taken me 24 years to learn that. I don't expect you to understand.

Emily: No, I do.

Mr. Dilaurentis went upstairs to check on Ali.

Alison & Mr. Dilaurentis

Alison: I'm okay, Dad. I've been dreaming about this moment for a long time... sleeping in my own bed.

Mr. Dilaurentis: I understand... I just... I don't think I can ever let you out of my sight again. I know you didn't have the best childhood. I can't give you those years back. Alison, I can't, but I promise I will do everything I can to help you forget them.

(He pulls out a picture from his wallet.)

Uhh... do you remember this? I've had it my wallet since the night you left. (breathing heavily) This is the little girl I refuse to let go of. (sobbing) Honey I need to know that (clears throat) your mom and I... we aren't living together anymore. You know the things have not been good between me and her. And well Uh... we decided a few months ago to get a divorce.

Alison: I'm sorry, Dad.

Mr. Dilaurentis: So am I.

They hug.
