I pulled myself of the ground with little pride. Having shrunk into the shadows like any prey would when facing a lion. I took deep breaths, trying to collect myself. I jumped startled as the bell pierced through the silence indicating that the school day has come to an end.

I took comfort in knowing I could escape to my room where I found much peace. I opened the stall door suddenly eger to flee from this hellhole of a place. I stopped in front of the mirror when I caught sight of my reflection.

My face was extremely pale as if I had been lying dead for the most part of the morning. My eyes red rimmed from my constant crying, dark circles under my eyes from the lac of sleep. I looked like a zombie. A living nightmare.

I sighed, running my fingers through my hair and slipping the piece of paper safely in my back pocket and stepped into the almost vacant hallway. I walked slowly, not having much energy left in my from my cowardly event.

I stopped at my locker, putting in the combination. I pulled it open, dropping off my books, grabbing what I needed and headed off through the entry way and into the parking lot. The cold air kissed my skin fiercely. Winter was approaching, almost here but not quite yet. The days were getting darker, getting shorter, and night arriving sooner. It was my favorite season. Summer was to bright, happy, nothing could escape its light rays. While winter was cold, threatening, and always kept in the shadows.

I liked it this way fighting for warmth as the cold pierced you with shivers. The summer was always hot and there was never really anything you could do to satisfied yourself from the heat. It was always hard to breath as the heat hit your body in waves. Beads of sweat rolling down your back as you tried to enjoy a day at the park. Failing, you would always end up going home to the nice air conditioning.

The cold was relaxing, comforting, and never once unbearable.

I caught site of Billy leaning against his car, his mind wondering off into space. I plaster on a fake smile as I rapped my arms around his waist. He looked down with a grin enlightening his features.

"Hey you,"I whispered not wanting my voice to crack.

His smiled wavered as he caught site of my condition.

 "Hi? What's wrong?"He asked concerned.

"Nothing's wrong, silly! Why would there be?"I lied feeling sick every single time I did this. It didn't feel right.

He eyed me suspiciously not believing me one bit. Not once did I give up the act.

"You will tell me sooner or later,"He growled. I simply shrugged, getting in the car. He walked around the car-getting in- slamming the door loudly. Oops he was angry not a good sign.

"Calm down you might pull off the door with that kind of force,"I teased. He glared at me as he pulled out of the parking lot. I sighed, blasting the music to fill the silence. My fingers tapped against my leg to the beat.

We pulled in front of my house. The engine shutting off, along with the music.

I wasn't getting out of the car on these terms.

His head was laying against the seat, eyes closed. I moved over in the seat straddling him. He tensed- opening his eyes and looked at me. I tangled my fingers in his hair as I crashed my lips to his. He responded immediately. I smiled as he nippled on my lip wanting entry. I let him in, our tongues dancing together.

The kiss got more passionate as the seconds ticked by. My throat was burning from the lac of oxygen. He pulled back both of us gasping for air. His hold on my hips tightening and almost laughed about how excited he was.

"Well I got to go.."I trailed off and attempted to get off him. I didn't budge.

 "Billy! I have to go."

"No!"He growled. "Lets just have a Little fun.."I bit my head and shook it no.

"I have homework." His eyes looked at me pleadingly."No!" How about this weekend?'I suggested.

"All weekend your mine."He smirked loosing his hold on me. I got off and climbed out the door.

"It's a date then,"I waved over my shoulder as I stepped into my house. Watching him drive away threw the window.

"Evening, Kiddo! How was school?"Dad asked as I passed the living room were he played cars with the twins.

"Ehhh.. it was school."I walked away knowing that was the best way I could describe my horrid day.

I plopped down on my bed staring at the ceiling. Letting my thoughts wonder through less painful topics. My lights to my bedroom went out. A flashing red light brought me from my haze. I looked at my wrist and gasped. My bracelet was glowing. My eyes darted around my room as the light flashed of the dark walls. Setting it with a strange feeling.

 And then it stopped.

My light flickered back on as I sat up. I brought my bracelet closer to my face to examining it. Nothing seemed out of the ordinary.

"Honey! dinner!"My mom shouted through my closed door.

 "Coming!"I yelled back breathlessly.

I got up with shaky legs and walked to the kitchen were the rest of my family sat eating silently. I joined them not really interested in the food that laid before me. I pushed it around with my fork.

"Did you guys see the lights go off?" I asked.

"The lights went off?"Mom asked puzzled. I nodded.

"No, they didn't sweetheart."My dad reassured. I fell back into silence. No one else saw it.

 Strange.

I excused my self no longer hungry. I slipped into my pj's and laid in my bed. exhaustion covered me like a blanket. I fell into darkness no longer concerned for what was waiting for me.

I was aware that I was dreaming. I sat in the grass at a park in my hometown. Watching a younger me laugh endlessly as mom pushed me on the swing. I was happy, stress free. I was living an uncomplicated life.

"Mom!"I squealed. "Push Elizabeth, too!"I demanded. My mom cracked a smiled and moved to the empty swing next to me that was empty through her eyes. But a little girl with curly blond hair, ocean blue eyes, and an old fashion pink dress giggled as my mom pushed the swing she sat in.

My mom thought 'Elizabeth' was my imaginary friend little did she know I could actually see things.

She floated of the swing and I jumped off following her actions. I watched the five year old me chase my dead friend.

I watched shocked as my peaceful memory became one of a nightmare and all I could do was watch it play out.

Darkness surrounded me. Making it hard to see but I cold see him clearly.

 Darian.

He sat there watching me oblivious to my discomfort.

Fog snaked along the floor, dancing toward me. It crawled up my skin. I screamed in shock as it burned my body by it's touch. Consuming me entirely.

"It's funny how fast life can change. Huh? Ronnie?" He asked.
