I was pretty sure I was dead but then again, I wasn't sure. For I have never experienced death, having always watched from the side lines. All I can tell you is that it wasn't pleasant nor comforting. I felt trapped inside my body like a criminal banging on the bares from inside his jail cell. No light shinning in and no windows to help me see the outside world. All I had was the cold. It was so quiet inside my body that you could drop a paper clip and it would make the loudest of noises. It was then that I realized I had no heart beat. Nothing pushing and pumping the blood threw me, instead of having warm heat radiating from me like a glow- I was frozen. From head to toe it felt like I had been left out during a blizzard and have never been given the time to thaugh out. Leaving me hard as a stone and colder then ice. It was like everything had slowed down and somehow I knew I would never be moving forward.

I had come to the conclusion that I was dead.

No! This couldn't be happening to me! But it already did. I became somber once my words sunk in. I was DEAD! I cringed as the memories came flooding back. I would of never survived no matter how hard I tried.

I internally sighed. Now what? Do I just lay here till someone finds me? What if no one finds me? Well, that would just suck. Wow. I'm extremely calm right now because your dead stupid.

I could faintly hear the light snapping of a twig as someone walked. My ears perked up and detected a heart beat. My noise flared once it smelt the most juicy, mouth watering smell. My throat burned in reaction almost as painful as my torturing death. My eyes snapped open from the piercing pain. I was thirsty.

I was no longer controlling my actions as a trait I had never experienced before took over. The colors of the world were brighter then I remembered. I could see everything around me clearer than day. Nothing could hide from me. The smell continued to taunt me and that's when I took off after the inviting human. I was faster then lightning everything blurring around me as I focused on that one thing. My prey. I attacked the harmful human in fast, cat-like movements barely giving the old women the chance to scream as my teeth clamped down on her throat. Warm goo, flowed down my throat. putting out the fire that had taken over. Then it was gone faster then you could blow out a candle.

I looked down at the fragile old lady that had only been taking a morning hike. She was pale, no longer moving and her eyes stared back at me frozen in fear. She had a humongous gash in the side of her throat and blood stained her clothes. I gently laid her down.

What had done!? The better question is. What had I become? The word vampire flashed threw my mind.

I shook my head in denial as I back up against a tree and slid to the ground. This couldn't be happening. All the signs were there though and I couldn't dine it. I was a vampire. Darian had not killed me but had changed me but why? I would of rather of died then become a monster. Guilt washed over me as I remembered what I had just done.

I was a killer and there was nothing I could do about it. Everything that had been haunting me in my dreams had come true. Everything I had never wanted.

What would my family think? I'm sure they would suspect the worst and I knew I could never go home. I couldn't endanger them, if I couldn't control my thirst. I wanted to cry, I would never be able to see them again. My loss would crush them, they would never be the same. Just like me.

What about Billy?

He was my soul mate and would experience the loss worst then the others but even though he was a mythical creature, too. Vampires were a werewolves mortal enemy. I could feel my heart breaking- if I even had one. He would hate me with a passion. I was something to him, that in his words shouldn't exist. While his pack helped to protect humans, vampires were killing machines. He could never know I was still alive.

A loneliness I had never felt before took place with the cold. I stood up, I needed to get far away from here before someone found me. So I took off, running faster then I could of ever imagine. The leaves on the trees, rustled as I breezed past them. I was like wind, the experience was exhilarating and full of adrenaline. I ran and ran until I came upon an abandoned cabin so far away that i was sure I was in another state. I came to an immediate stop, staying completely still and smelling the air around me to see if any humans around.

I came up with nothing.

I looked at the cabin which looked more like a cottage. Made out of stones and a chimney rising above the gray colored roof. The window ledge painted a fading red. Vines were growing up the side of the house and flowers of all sorts covered the ground. The sunlight shinning perfectly on it threw the trees. It had a cheery glow that you would imagine a fairytale to be like. Even though it was placed in the middle of no where and even though it should look old and abused. I knew it was the place for me, no matter how weird the situation seemed.

I walked up the path that led to the door and slowly turned the handle, pushing it open- it was unlocked; strange. I stepped into the house, the floor creaking from the movement. Everything was covered in dust. The chimney that was in the center of the room still had wood that had long since been burned out. Furniture surrounded it. A couch, coffee table and two night stands. The cushions were red along with the curtains and rug. The kitchen looked like something that was pulled out of the colonial days and the bedroom looked like something that you could only find in a castle. The place was truly magical.

I stopped when I came across a mirror in the master bedroom. I froze in place from shock when I took in my appearance. My eyes were an unrealistic blue, that seemed to be so cold I could see threw a persons soul, my skin deathly, white pale. I had dark circles under my eyes and my hair seemed glossier and longer. I was so pretty, that I looked unrealistic. I didn't look anything like the Ronnie I had come to know.

I walk over to the master bed with wood pillars and plopped on the comfortable surface. Dust flew around me like a storm. I sneezed this place needed some serious cleaning.

I rolled into a ball over whelmed by the weeks events. I close my eyes thinking of the happy times and even though I couldn't sleep, I laid there thinking of what could of been because honestly I loathed what I had become. I would forever be apart of the darkness but this time it was just something I couldn't out run.
