I stumble from the bed and follow Ben down the halls of what I'm assuming is a school. "So, this is currently 2nd mass headquarters soon though we'll be heading to Charleston." I don't say anything. I just listen to him. "The kids go to lessons durning the day." he says elaborating on some things. Once we get to the cafeteria Ben leads me to a line to get food. Everyone stares at us and I'm not sure why. As Ben ladles his soup a man hisses rudely at him. "Hurry up razor back." Ben's expression hardens and he pulls me along. Once we have food and we're out of line Ben's face still hasn't changed. "Ben!" a young voice calls from a table, then Bens face falls slack with sweetness. He grabs my arm and pulls me over to the table. Where two boys sit. One older than me and Ben and one younger. The older ones smiles slightly. "Hey, Im Hal Mason. Ben's older brother." I nod at him. The younger boy grins from ear to ear. Still slightly innocent inside. I smile back at him. "I'm Matt Mason!" he chirps as me and Ben sit down. As we eat the boys talk and laugh over past events. Hal calls Ben a math nerd, Ben glances at me when Hal calls him various names. His face is slightly red. I smile at him and observe the happiness that they instill each other. All of that disappears when the rude man from line comes over and glares at Ben. "Well, looks like razor back is enjoying himself. Who's they new girl?" his gaze turns to me. "Go away Pope." Hal hisses in a gruff voice. He doesn't listen. "Razor back, is she your new victim? Are you gonna kill her too? Just like you killed Jimmy? Are you half breed?" the man is taunting and rude. Ben's face hardens. He grits his teeth together, then he shoves away from the table, almost slamming it into the wall. He glares at Pope, and the quickly strides off down the hall without a second glance. "Ben! Wait!" I call quickly. Hal grits his teeth, and before I can even think Hal gets up quickly and punches pope square in the face. Before pope can react I'm out of my chair and heading after Ben. As I head down the hall having no idea where I'm going I run into a girl who seems only a little older than me. "Hey, you must be Elizabeth. I'm Lourdes by the way. What are you looking for?" I don't really pay attention to her babbling. "Ben. I'm looking for Ben Mason." I say hastily. She smiles. "Ah, one of the mason boys." she smiles like she knows something I don't. "His rooms at the end of the hall. I'll see you later." I nod quickly, and head down the hall. Once I reach his room. I knock gently. "Go away." Ben's voice is gruff and muffled. I open the door and Ben sits on the edge of his bed. His head in his hands. Quickly he stands up, his jaw set, and anger in his eyes. "I said go away." he mumbles tightly though his teeth.
