Lucy's POV

I had just woke up from another nightmare filled night. To be honest....I'm scared. Why? Scared that he will kill me one of these days....or worse...I woke up, brushed my teeth, and got dressed. Since I don't have any good clothes I put on some sweats, a baggy shirt and a hoodie. My dad doesn't even bear to look at me because I look like her. But, I mustered enough courage to show my face. I went downstairs to see my dad on the couch with a beer bottle in his hand knocked out. I was quiet as possible.

"Okay....I just have to be as quiet as possible..." I whispered. Unfortunately to my extent he woke up. And walked toward me with hatred in his eyes.

"What did I say about showing your face you ugly bitch?!?!" He yelled at me...

He slapped me in the process. Not hard because he's smart enough to know if he bruises me early he won't be able to cover it up in time.

"I don't want you to show your face again....you don't deserve to be seen by anyone you disgusting whore..."

His words are like spears stabbing through my heart....I had done nothing wrong to him yet he treats me this way. Today was my first day at Magnolia High School so I'll be able to get out of this hell hole for a while. I quickly hid my face and walked out the door. I'll get breakfast at my new school.

I walked over to a beautiful crimson bricked building and walked in. I went into the principals office to register.

"Young lady aren't you supposed to be in class?" She insisted.

"U-um I'm the transfer student....I came here to register."

"Oh. Sorry about that. I'm Principal Mavis. Nice to meet you." She held her hand out for me to shake and I shook her hand.

"L-Lucy Heartfilla...."

"I printed out your schedule. Your classes should start in 15 minutes so feel free to get to know some people okay?"

"Okay....thank you."

"Your welcome Lucy. Now run along."

I went out to the principals office and went to see a blue-haired girl with a tall black haired guy. He had a lot of piercing so he must be scary....I walked over to them slowly...hoping they wouldn't bully me...

"H-hello?"

"Oh Hello! Are you new here? I don't think I've seen you before."

"No we haven't...I'm new here."

"My name's Levy McGarden. The tall guy here is Gajeel Redfox."

He was scarier up close!

"Hey there. Don't worry. I'm not gonna hurt you. The one you should worry about is Flame-for-brains. He's supposed to be the heartthrob of the school."

Flame for brains? Who's that?

I went over to my locker to put my stuff away then I bumped into someone without me noticing.

"Ow!"

"Oh I'm sorry....I wasn't watching where I was going. Hehe. Are you okay?"

"Y-yeah I'm fine."

I look up to see a Salmon-haired boy with a toothy grin on his face.

He's cute.....WAIT WHAT IM I THINKING?!?!?

"I don't think we've met. I'm Natsu. Natsu Dragneel."
He has the most goofiest grin on his face. I couldn't help but giggle.

"What's so funny?"

"N-nothing. I'm Lucy Heartfilla."

Have I found friends? Or are they pretending to be nice?
