Part 3: New Friends?

Natsu's POV

I was walking to my locker putting my stuff away when my Lisanna ran to me with a hug. Here's the thing with her. I don't like her. And I'm going to show you why.

Lisanna: Hey Natsu....how's my boyfriend doing?

She asks me flirtatiously.

I was annoyed that she kept calling me her boyfriend so I keep on rejecting the fact and she keeps on going. What was the word people use when they're always bothering one person? Oh that's right....well say she's thirsty.

Natsu: Number 1, who says I'm your boyfriend? I've never been your boyfriend and never will. Number 2, I'm trying to get to class so I don't have time to be flirted by the likes of you.

Lisanna: Awwwww c'mon sweetie.....you know you love me...why dont you just admit it?

She asks me.

This girl must think I'm stupid if I'm gonna fall for that.

"I don't have time for this...I'm going."

I walked away from my locker to get away from her. Let me tell you something about Lisanna.

She's what we call, Daddy's spoiled brat. About her appearance. She's a white-haired girl with a slight red shirt and skinny jeans on. Now me? I'm just your normal guy. Without all the flirtation and all that. I have my scarf that my father gave me when I was younger, my jacket, and some jeans. Nothing fancy or anything.

I walk over to class and without looking I bumped into someone.

???: Ow!

She yelped in slight pain.

Natsu: "Sorry bout that I wasn't looking where I was going. Hehe. Are you okay?"

I helped her up and I see a blond haired girl with some sweats and a hoodie to cover herself with. I'm thinking, why would she wears that? And I look into her eyes......I don't know why but I have a feeling she may be in pain....I have my protective instinct when it comes to these things.

"Y-yeah. I'm okay"

Natsu: I don't think we've met. I'm Natsu. Natsu Dragneel.

She started giggling for some reason. I wonder why?

Natsu: What's so funny?

I ask curiously.

???: N-nothing. I'm Lucy Heartfilia.

I can tell by that speech She's upset with something. But I look at her face.

She's beautiful.....WAIT WHAT?

Natsu: Do you wanna walk with me? I can take you to class if you want to....

I ask kinda shyly. See, when it comes to talking to new people....I get kinda shy. I don't know why, it's just a feeling I have. But now? I have these butterflies in my stomach and I just met her like today....

What is this feeling?

Lucy's POV

Why is he helping me? Is he really a friend you can rely on? I don't know....ever since I've been living with my dad I haven't had any friends actually...I've been bullied all my school life....I hope this school will be different...

Lucy: I-I just want to say thank you for taking me to class....

I say pretty scared about his reaction....

Natsu: Its no problem! Who wouldn't want to help a friend in need?

Lucy: F-friend??

Natsu: Yeah! Why not? Do you wanna be my friend?

He's really nice....he's my first friend I'll have...

Lucy: Y-yes....

Natsu: Great! I'll introduce you to my friends at lunch today! You'll love them!

Maybe this year will be different.....I hope so.

Then I walk down with him then I see a raven-haired boy next to the door from our first class.

???: What's up Flame Princess?

Natsu: Like your the one to talk Elsa.

I think these two are rivals....I sweatdropped.
