Few days had gone by since Scorpius and I moved into Malfoy Manor. Scorpius was off in the Manor with both Mr. and Mrs. Malfoy and Draco and often times Heather. I would stay cooped up inside usually by myself. I had thought often of visiting the Burrow during the night, but decided against it, it was too risky.

I had been assessing what I had just recently done. Had I made the right decision living with the Malfoy’s? Or I had I done the complete opposite? I knew that Scorpius wanted to be his family, but I wasn’t exactly comfortable living with them, Narcissa Malfoy however was an exception.

Heather, her and me had bonded quite well the past few days. She wasn’t like her sister or her husband at all. She had a heart and was well aware of it. She had taken the time to get to know her grandchild and me. She wasn’t like her family at all.

I sat outside in the cold on the porch swing that Malfoy’s had out back with our dog Bella. I watched as the snow fell from the sky and then flakes landed gently upon the ground. It had just recently occurred to me that Christmas was only a few days away. Ever since the incidents that have recently happened, I knew that my Christmas plans would change drastically. As I sat outside a while longer I felt an arm brush against my shoulders and a body sit down beside me.

“You know Sydney you should come inside now.” Malfoy said after a long silence.

“Why?” I asked it wasn’t that cold out.

“You don’t want to go Christmas shopping?” He asked smirking, I didn’t respond. “Go and get your things.” He said pushing me up, but I shrugged him off.

“Is it just you and me?” I asked. He nodded.

“Yeah… who else do you think is coming?”

“Scorpius...” I trailed of.

“You want him to know what he’s going to get for Christmas?” He asked sneering.

“He can come… I’ve already gotten his presents.” I said shrugging.

“I know that, I have to get him something.” He said sneering.

“You don’t have too h-”

“But I want to. Go and get your things.” He repeated. I sighed and nodded leaving him outside.

I walked inside and then got my things from my room. I grabbed my purse, my wallet, winter coat, gloves, and boots. Then I went to go and look for Heather.

I saw her in the Kitchen with Mrs. Malfoy sitting having tea and small talk.

“Heather, can you watch Scorpius, I’ll be gone for a while.” I said to her. She nodded and raised her brows.

“Where are you going?” She asked.

“Christmas Shopping.” I said as she nodded again.

“Alright.” She said. I thanked her before I left. I walked back out in the backyard and saw Malfoy standing looking around and waiting for me.

“Took you long enough.” He said sneering; I rolled my eyes but said nothing. “Grab my arm.” He said.

“Why? I can apperate too you know.” I protested.

“Just grab my bloody arm Clarkson.” He said again with a bit of anger weighing in his voice. I rolled my eyes and gripped his arm tight. In a matter of seconds he had apperated the two of us to Diagon Ally.

“Stay close.” He said to me as I dropped his arm. I nodded; I knew that the world wasn’t a safe place anymore, so it was the smartest thing to do.

“Where are you going first?” I asked as I walked in step with him. He looked to his right and smirked.

We are going to get him presents.” He said.

“I know that… where are we going first?” I asked as he shrugged.

“I don’t know… what did you get already?” He asked. I had to think back to when I last went shopping to remember.

“I got him… um…well…I-”

“You don’t remember do you?” He said cutting me off.

“No,” He raised his brows, “It was a while ago.” I explained.

“Guess we’ll just have to pray we didn’t get him the same thing.” He said as he walked into the first shop and held the door open for me. “Ladies first…” He said smirking. When I walked inside I saw that there were racks and racks of clothing everywhere.

“Malfoy… this is a clothing shop…” I said. He walked up to me and furrowed his brows.

“And your point is?” He questioned.

“He is a two year old kid… they don’t like getting cloths for Christmas.” I said. Draco rolled his eyes.

“I know that… I have to get necessities for myself don’t I?” he said. I nodded.

“Okay… I’ll go somewhere else than. Ju-”

“No, you have to stay here. You can’t go out there by yourself.” He said.

“Bloody hell. I can go and shop by myself you know. No one asked your opinion anyways. Just let me do something by myself!” I argued. Malfoy grabbed me by my arm and pulled me close to him.

“You can’t go by yourself because it’s not safe.” He said simply.

And I should trust you because? You’re and Damn Death Eater too Malfoy. I thought. I sighed and nodded following him wherever he went. I knew that this would be one of the oddest shopping trips I would probably ever have.
