The next day, I sat on the kitchen counter reading the letter I had just received from Mrs. Malfoy concerning Malfoy. She asked that he come home for a few hours, he had Death Eater sessions to attend. The past few weeks, I have learned a lot about the Malfoy Family.
They had lost their loyalty towards Voldemort ever since the incident at the ministry. So now no matter where they are or who they are with go directly towards him when he calls. Other wise, Death is near.
I watched as Malfoy walked down the stairs with Scorpius in his arms. Scorpius’s smiled was as wide as ever. He looked up at Draco with a sudden sparkle in his eye. Honestly, it pained me to tell him that his father had to go, that he might possibly miss out on his first Christmas with his father.
“Draco,” I began as the two walked into the kitchen. Malfoy looked at me in the with Scorpius copying his father, “you have to go back home. He wants you there.” I said. Draco’s face suddenly dropped and his face began to leak color.
“How do you know?” He asked setting Scorpius down on the wooden floor of the cabin. I handed him the letter that his mother had written and watched his eyes scan the paper. His lips mouthed the words that were scribbled on the parchment. He looked at Scorpius and back at me. Sighing he picked Scorpius up in his arms again.
“Scorpius… I have to go.” He said as simply as he could. Scorpius began playing with Draco’s suit.
“Why? Can I come?” He asked with plead in his eyes. Draco shook his head.
“No, I’ll be back.”
“Where you going” Scorpius asked again.
“I have to go home.” He said.
“Why?” Scorpius asked. I sighed in amusement; my son was always one to ask many questions.
“…I have a job to do. I’ll be back.” He said one more time before handing Scorpius over to me. He watched as Draco apperated back to the Manor, leaving Scorpius visibly upset.
“Come on Scorpius. It’s Christmas Eve… do you want to go somewhere?” I asked him trying to get his mind off of things. Scorpius nodded. “Okay, where do you want to go?” I asked.
“Can we go home? I miss home.” He said. I smiled and nodded kissing him on his check.
“Okay.” I said, “Give me a minute.” I said to him. He nodded as I let him down from my arms. I grabbed a piece of Parchment and scribbled a note down for Draco, letting him know where we were incase he arrived home earlier than expected. Then, I grabbed onto Scorpius again and apperated us back home.
Scorpius left my arms as soon as we entered the house. He walked up the stairs to his room and I followed behind him. He dropped to the floor and began playing with some of his toys. I watched as he played, using his imagination, sound effects, and any other way he could make it seem more entertaining. After a while, I decided to let him be by himself.
After a while I saw him coming down from the stairs. He began to tug on m jeans and I picked him up in my arms and sat him down on the kitchen counter.
“Mummy what if Daddy spends Christmas at his house?” He asked me with a sadness in his eyes. I shook my head and kissed his forehead.
