I had been sitting in the bar for a while when she walked in.

She immediately caught my eye.

She was beautiful.

My gaze followed her to the bar where she sat on a stool, starring at nothing in particular. She seemed to be bothered by something. She was obviously too young to drink alcohol, but the drunk bartender handed her a drink anyway.

I felt angry against the man. Who knows where this would be going. But anyway, this was exactly why I came here. He had never even bothered to ask how old I am.

I watched her down shot after shot for a while, swaying slightly on her stool. She was obviously not used to drinking this much.

There had to be a reason.

I caught myself wondering what had happened to her.

Maybe this was the reason I got up the same time as she did. Maybe this was the reason I followed her when she stumbled out of the bar. Maybe it was fate.

When I exited the bar, the cold night air hit me. The dark, empty street was dimly lit by a few streetlamps, and my eyes searched for a few seconds until they fell upon a small figure leaning against a wall.

As I approached the girl, I watched her taking a shaky step forward before collapsing to the ground.

My heart rate picked up suddenly as I realized she fainted and I jolted forwards to her. I quickly crossed the few feet that separated us and leaned forwards over her.

What the hell was I supposed to do?

"Hello? Can you hear me?"

When I didn't get an answer, I carefully shook her shoulders, attempting to get a reaction out of the girl's limp body. I squatted down next to her and took her wrist in my hand. Her heart rate seemed steady. Thank God.

I reached for my phone in my backpocket. "I'm calling an ambulance." I informed her, even though she couldn't hear me.

She caught me off guard as she said in a small, low voice "No... Don't take me back... Please Don't."

What?

She drifted back into unconsciousness, leaving me with no clue what to do.

Don't take her back? To where? The hospital? Had she been there before? What was I supposed to do with her? I couldn't leave her like this.

I finally came to the conclusion that she wasn't in a state that absolutely required for her to be taken to a hospital, but that I needed to help her. I carefully picked her up bridal style and carried her to my car, which was parked at the end of the street.

I layed her down accross the backseats and folded my jumper under her feet to keep the blood flowing to her brain.

I drove home, thankful I had only drunk a few glasses.

April's POV

I closed my eyes almost as soon as I opened them, blinded by the bright sunlight. I groaned, slowly attempting to open my eyes once again.

I blinked a few times, slowly sitting up. I soon realized I had no idea where I was, as the events from the day before came crashing to my brain.

What the hell had happened? I could remember stumbling out of the bar but after that, nothing.

I took in my surroundings. I was sitting on a couch, covered in a thick blanket. I seemed to be in a small living room attached to a kitchen. In the corner next to the TV was a cupboard on which were standing two pink speakers.
