I'm back! Finally! So sorry for not updating for so long, I had big exams but they're over now. I have summer holidays now, so hopefully new updates to come soon! xx -H

I love it when you just don't care

I love it when you dance like there's nobody there

So when it gets hard, don't be afraid

We don't care what them people say

I love it when you don't take no

I love it when you do what you want 'cause you just said so

Let them all go home, we out late

We don't care what them people say

And we don't have to be ordinary

Make your best mistakes

//

Together we can just let go

Pretend like there's no one else here that we know

Slow dance, fall in love as the club track plays

//

April's POV

Luke and I were slowly walking to the stage to see thonight's performances when he took my hand. I looked down at our intertwined fingers and smiled. When I looked back up at Luke, I saw he was already smiling at me.

The sky had turned grey when we joined the small crowd in front of the little wooden stage. We had watched a couple singers perform a few songs each, mostly western style, when Luke embraced me from behind, his arms around my waist and his chin rested on my head. We stayed like this for a while, swaying slowly to the rythm of the music.

Suddenly, Luke removed his arms from my waist and stood up straight. "Stay here, I'll be back in a minute." He said, before disappearing in the crowd. I scrunshed my eyebrows together as I scanned the crowd and spotted him talking with the manager. What was he up to? Even though I craved to lead further investigations, I followed Luke's advice and stayed in my spot.

The surprise on my face must have been quite noticeable as I almost spit out my drink when I saw who came up on stage next.

Luke was standing in the middle of the stage, holding a guitar he must have borrowed somewhere. He spoke confidently into the mic. "Hi guys! I hope you're having fun so far. I'm here for just one little song, one that I wrote for a very special person. April, I hope you like it, even though it's just a beginning."

He strummed a few chords on the guitar before starting to sing in his angelic voice.

"I wish that I could wake up with amnesia
And forget about the stupid little things
Like the way it felt to fall asleep next to you
And the memories I never can escape

If today I woke up with you right beside me
Like all of this was just some twisted dream
I'd hold you closer than I ever did before
And you'd never slip away
And you'd never hear me say"

I felt a tear slowly running down my cheek, but I didn't bother to wipe it away as I was staring at Luke in awe. My brain was still trying to process what just happened. He wrote a song for you.

In a daze, I watched him wave at the enthusiastic crowd and leave the stage, giving the guitar back to the manager and thanking him with a pat on the back.

When he came back, I was in a total loss of words, so I just let him hug me and stayed in his arms for a while, as time seemed to be frozen. "I didn't know you can sing." I whispered in his shoulder.

"I din't know one moment could be so magical."

After Luke's performance, he led me back to the car and drove off to a "secret place".

When he stopped the car and we got out, I froze. We were standing on the edge of a huge cliff. Underneath us, nothing but darkness. In front of us, thousands of tiny lights illuminating the night sky above the city.

Luke came around to my side of the car and took my hand, guiding me to the very edge.

"We're on the edge of the world."

"On top of the world."

I smiled as we took a few steps back and sat on the hood of Luke's red car.

"Heaven is a place on earth."

We remained silent for a while, watching the city lights reflecting the stars above in the night sky. It was slowly getting colder and I shivered. Luke seemed to have noticed, as he wordlessly took of his jacket and wrapped it around my shoulders.

Lukes's POV

I was watching her intently. She was so beautiful. I was taking in every detail of her, her crystal blue eyes fixed on the horizon, her beanie, the one that we had bought together, her lips forming a small smile.

I was so scared. Scared that she would have to leave too soon, mad that she wasn't given the life she deserved. I had to make the time she had left, however long it might be, worth living.

As I was watching her, I felt my heart beat faster. I had only known her for a few weeks, but she had taken up a huge place in my heart.

My hands were clammy, my heart was beating too fast, I was nervous. Still, I slowly leaned in, watching her every move, seeking her reaction, ready to move away at the slightest hint of rejection. When she noticed my movement, she turned to me, her lips curving up into a smile, her crystal eyes locked with mine.

I suddenly felt a rush of confidence as I leaned in more, until I could feel her breath on mine. Our lips eventually locked. She returned the kiss. It was slow, short, sweet.

As I pulled away, I leaned my forehead against hers. I tried finding her gaze, but her eyes were closed. I watched her as she squeezed her eyes and a tear escaped. I felt a rush of panic. Had I done something wrong? Shouldn't I have kissed her? Had I just ruined everything?

As if she was reading my thoughts, she shook her head. I lifted a hand to her face and slowly wiped away the tear with my thumb. She opened her eyes.

"Will you," she asked in a small voice, just above a whisper, "will you remember me?"

I scrunched my eyebrows in confusion, "What?"

She leaned back and watched the horizon. "Will you remember me? When I'm gone? "

Say you'll remember me standing in a nice dress,

Staring at the sunset, babe

Red lips and rosy cheeks

Say you'll see me again

Even if it's just in your wildest dreams

"Of course I will. Not even the clouds above can separate the two of us." I shook my head. "You won't ever be alone, wait for me to come home."

She looked me in the eyes. "Remember us, remember that we lived."

"We'll remember tonight for the rest of our lives. Even if we forget the faces of our friends, we'll never forget the bonds that were carved into our souls. What we have, this time, this day, this moment, I will never forget it, you won't ever forget it. We made theses memories for ourselves, where our eyes are never closing, hearts are never broken, time's forever frozen, still."

She nodded. "Okay," she whispered.

I took her hand and stood up, "Come with me."

She stood up and we walked back to the edge.

"We can be heroes."

"We could be immortals."
