23: Okay For Now

*Gray Fullbuster's POV*

My eyes open. It's light. Midday? Morning? I sit up. I'm on a cot. In a tent, a big tent. Where am I?
Another cot sits on the other side of the tent. A body sleeping on it. Who is that? What time is it? My head hurts. What happened to me? I move over to sit on the side of the cot. I look around, this tent was really big. I guess it must be Masters-
Master.
Guild.
Fairy Tail.
Vacation.

Juvia.

It all comes flooding back. The fight, her crying. Coming back to the camp. Everything. What have I done. This can't be real. I snap my head over to the other cot. It's her, it has to be her. I lean forward to get up, my legs wobble a little. Damn I'm so weak. How long did I sleep? I stumble over and kneel next to her. Her chest steadily rising and falling. My mind races.
What should I do?
I can't wake her up.
What if something's wrong?
Should I get Master?
Ughhh!!
I can't think!!
I push off the side of the cot and stand. I smooth the hair back from my face and hold my hands on my head.
If-... no. When she wakes up I'll apologize. Hopefully she'll accept it and we'll be good again. If not.... I don't want to think about that.
I'm so stupid!! Why did I have to yell at her like that! I just keep ruining everything. I doubt that she'll even want to talk to me. She probably hates me now.
"Ugh!" I yell, slamming my hands down from my head.
"Ermmm....." A voice mumbles from behind me.
Dammit I woke her up!!
I slowly turn around to her moving body. She lifts up her head and rolls over to face me. Her eyes still closed. Okay we're good.
"Whew.." I breathe, watching her settle. Her body freezes and her bright blue eyes snap open.
Shit!!!
I back up a couple steps, my calves hitting the back of my cot. I almost fall over. Juvia sits up in panic, her facial expression confused and scared. She looks at me and squints her eyes. Her expression becoming softer and less berserk.
"Gray...? Is that you....?" She whispers, her voice coarse.
I gather my thoughts.
Is she mad? She doesn't seem mad. I don't know! She's hardly said anything! What should I say back?!
'Yeah, it's me, sorry you almost died in the forest...forgive me for crushing your heart and destroying your feelings' Great. I'm dead.
Juvia lifts a hand to her forehead and looks around the tent in confusion.
"Where am I?" She asks.
I cough and sit down suddenly on the cot.
"We're in the Masters tent I think." I say quietly.
"Where's everyone else?"

I don't know. I hadn't heard anything so far. Not even Erza yelling at everyone to get up. Is that a bad thing? We're we attacked? They're not dead are they?!? No. We're the Fairy Tail Guild. Number one in Fiore. No one is better than us. They're probably just on another trek with Mirajane. But where's the Master?
"I'm not sure... But they're probably just with Mira."
I slowly get up and make my way to the door of the tent.
"I'm going outside, do you want to come with me?" I ask, turning back to her.
She smiles- she smiles, and begins to get up.
Red Flag.
"Hey J-Juvia..? Are you sure you're okay?"
She raises her head.
"Yes I'm fine. Why would there be anything wrong?"
Oh great.
"Umm, it's just that we had a fight a while ago, and we both got pretty worked up about it... Do you remember anything..?"
She pushes aside the blankets and stands up, her beautiful hair falling across her shoulders. She has a large black long sleeved shirt, that shows one of her shoulders, long black knee-socks and light blue shorts. Even when she's just woken up, she still looks amazing.
"I guess I don't remember much at all... was the fight bad?" she asks, pulling her hair into a bun.

Ummmmmm....... Well...

I lean back a bit, crossing my arms and trying to look casual.
"N-no, it wasn't bad at all. We're fine now. It was really just a big misunderstanding." I mumble.

I know I know. I lied. But it wasn't all a lie. It really was a misunderstanding. Just a horrible, ending-with-sobbing-and-broken-hearts-misunderstanding.
Juvia perks her head up and puts some pins in her hair.
"Well that's a relief, now, are you okay my darling?" She asks, her voice full of passion.
Wait. What. Did I hear that right?
That means-
She's back.
She's.
Back.
My Juvia. She's returned to me.
I CAN'T BELIEVE IT. AFTER ALL THIS TIME.
"Juvia!!!!" I yell, charging at her and sweeping her up into a spinning hug. Her arms wrap around my neck and hug me tight.
"Gray-! What!? Is everything alright?" She says, startled.
I let her down and cup her face into my hands.
"Everything is perfect."
I look into her eyes, they couldn't be prettier.
Our hands find each other and I pull her outside of the tent.
"C'mon! We need to let everyone know."
"Wait stop, what's the big deal?! I don't understand." She tugs at her arm and I stop.
"What are you talking about? This is great news!" I say, dropping her hand.
"What are you talking about?" Her face washes over with concern.
"This isn't good. Not good at all.... She doesn't remember- Master!!! Master where are you?!?" I yell, pacing around the camp.
"Gray! What is going on!? Tell me! Please." Juvia yells, grabbing my arm.
I turn to her and grab her shoulders.
"What do you remember?! Since the beginning of the camping trip! How much!" I urge.
"Stop yelling you're scaring me. My beloved, please calm down!" She says, locking her fingers with mine.
"J-Juvia..." I sigh, breathing hard. She slinks her other hand behind my neck and presses our foreheads together. My breathing slows down to match hers.
"Calm down. Everything will be fine." She soothes.
I take a deep breath and pull her to the picnic tables and sit down.
"What do you remember. To the last detail." I say.
She looks up at the sky, her eyebrows furred in concentration.
"I remember everything before us arriving here, so that's good. I can recall playing capture the flag, and I think something happened to me? But I'm not sure. I remember watching a movie with everyone! Oh! And I guess at one point I was on a hilltop. And you were there, it was dark and the sky was full of stars!!! How I wish I could remember these beautiful moments I've spent with you my love!" She exclaims, her eyes sparkling.
