I opened my eyes wondering where the hell I was. It was lighter now, I looked at my watch. It was early morning. Then I realized who had their arm round me. David, god. I had such mixed feelings for this guy. I twisted my head and looked up at him. His dark hair was a mess but he looked kinda cute. I sat up and unwrapped his arm from me trying not to wake him. Then I heard him talking, but, his lips weren’t moving. I looked at him confused and saw pictures in my head. What the hell was going on? I was seeing some football match, it was like. Someones memory. Davids? I shook my head, weird. Standing up I walked forwards and tripped over his foot.
‘Ouch!’ He cried. I span around.
‘I was trying not to wake you?’
‘Oh great job there Billie!’ But he was smiling.
‘Sorry’ I laughed. He stood up and shook his hair, he looked at me.
‘What?’
‘Nothing, its just, you look so funny when you do that.’
He smiled a pushed me.
‘Okay, come on. We have to find Abbie, seriously.’
He titled his head to the side and looked at me.
*How we gunna get outta here though. The doors locked?*
‘Yea I know its locked’I smiled.
‘What? I didn’t say that.’
‘Yea you did.’ I stepped forwards. ‘I heard you.’
He narrowed his eyes. *I thought that*
‘You thought it?’ I was confused now.
‘You just did it again!’
‘What, but i. How?’
‘Hang on, okay, see if you can hear what im thinking.’ He looked at me, *Joe never loved you*
I stepped back tearing up and he looked shocked.
‘Shit! You can hear me?’
I nodded trying not to cry.
‘Jeeze.’ He was going red. ‘I didn’t mean it.’
I swallowed hard and walked past him. I put my hand on the door knob and twisted. The door opened. Okay, so it was unlocked. I felt David stand behind me and heard his trail of thought. *I didn’t mean it*
I didn’t react, instead I stepped out of the room into a, corridor. I looked about confused. All it was, was a corridor. Like you see in a school or hospital. There were no flames, no dead bodies, not even any little red guys running about with pitchforks. I turned to the left and all I could see was rooms and rooms and rooms. Great I sighed, how the hell was I gunna find Abbie in all of this? I started walking down the corridor followed by David. There was screaming coming from a few rooms and im pretty sure I heard crying.
The corridor seemed never ending. I turned to look at David, he was walking along looking at his feet. I slowed to match his pace,
‘What did you mean?’ I asked him quietly.
He looked at me and opened his mouth closing it again. ‘Well, I didn’t mean it okay. He loved you. Just, ignore me.’
I bit my lip stepping into his thoughts,
*I know he did, god, he wouldn’t shut up about her*
I smiled and he narrowed his eyes. ‘Hey, get outta my head.’
‘Come on.’ I said nudging him. ‘We need to find her!’
Walking past a door someones thoughts suddenly jumped into my mind. I didn’t hear much just a flash of a word *Korse.* I stopped suddenly and David did the same looking at me confused. I turned to the right looking at the door way. Putting my ear to it I didn’t hear any voices, slowly, I opened it. I gasped, Abbie was in there. Thank god.
