"I swear i'll kill him. Did you not hear how scared she was of him?" Ignis asked, breaking through the fog of my sleep. I fought to go back to the depths of my own mind, but a headache forced me in and out of consciousness until I was finally opening my eyes against my will, nearly throwing up as everything spun around me.

"I'd like to see you try, pet." Garret sneered, sounding human and muffled but there. I struggled aginst the blanket wrapped around me sitting up through the sick feeling.

"Keep talking, they won't be able to stop me a second time." Ignis more rattled than spoke. A gruff sound that I hadn't ever heard from his lips.

"Get.... me a bucket." I called, hanging my head as bile forced it's way up burning my throat as someone pushed a wooden bucket under my head seconds before it spewed out. Singign my mouth with the acidic burn and making me gag as the smell and taste hit me head on.

"Gross. Get it away from me before I pain the floor in disgust." Garret laughed to my left.

"I swear one more word and I will bury my dagged into your brain until it's leaning onto the ground you ignorant cur!" I shouted, spitting weakly into the bucket to try and fail to get the taste from my mouth.

"Well, well. The puny shifter has grown a spine in these years. Or is that still a show to keep your pet in line?" He asked, making me turn to face him fighting back a groan of pain having moved my head so fast it brought on a wave of pain through my brain.

"I am the only one allowed to call him names. He is my friend you idiot." I choked out before emptying the rest of my gut into the bucket.

"I think I can find another room you can't hear him from." Ignis offered, taking the bucket from me only to replace it with a cleaner one.

"Where are we? Hopefully not inside the guild........" I tried, but he didn't answer. I glanced up, seeing he had a few scratches over him and quite a few broken scales on his arms that were red and raw.

"I needed patching up, he is like a rabid raccoon. He's in the next room sealed off with wards that Wallow himself put in place." Ignis assured, showing me the pile of bloody rags on the counter.

"He should be put down like a rabid animal in my opinion." I sighed, pushing back to lean against the wall wishing I could help him though I have no idea how I could.

"Is that how you trat someone you ripped from their happy home?" Garret called from the next room making me grumble under my breath in annoyance.

"What did he mean about you and dragons? He mentioned it several times after Gran put you to sleep." He asked, looking at me with the same arms crossed blank face yet I know he takes tha position when he was either concerned or had no idea what to do.

"It isn't important...... I just...... He was one of the guards and I thought he loved me when all he wanted was to take the throne. When my baby brother was born and I denounced the crown to him then he...... He left." I told him as simple as I could considering the babbling from the other room adding to what I said.

"He left a note, the adorable princess you so wish to protect was stomped into the ground! She didn't loved the beast who ran off, and now she has another one as a pet!" He shouted through the walls making me hand my head in shame of the truth.

"Come on, you shouldn't sleep here." He sighed, ignoring the babbling stories from the other room and gripping my hand to pull me to my feet.

"Oh sharing yet another bed with a dragon I see! How pathetic!" He called making my face heat in embarrassment knowing every mystical could hear him as clearly as Ignis.

"What was the dragon's name? there aren't many of us left... I may know him." Ignis offered, picking the lock on my door with a nail instead of fishing out my key.

"Darthen, Darthen Colby. Said he was from the northern mountains." I shook out, forcing myself not to snap for him to leave the past in the past.

"I don't know him, lucky for him or i'd have his skull as a knocker." He huffed, letting me inside to my apartment but just awkwardly standing at the door.

"I'm not a child, I can take care of myself. A meal and some tea and my charm will be able to heal me from there." I told him, disappearing to the kitchen to start myself a kettle and eat some of the left over bread with it to settle my stomach. He closed the door softly behind him as he left, making me check once out the window beside the door before going to the couch and falling onto it unceremoniously and sobbing unstopped by the presence of people who didn't know anything about Darth.

I forced myself up to finish off the tea and eat the bread as I had told Ignis I would, but I never stopped crying. I wouldn't stop crying until I had to because it made me feel better just to cry for once. Not have to be the strong  princess in my own home with my own friends I could be weak, and they would protect me while I was being weak.

Slowly the tears stopped, my charm working to fix my head and nausea quickly now that I was rested. Though I was physically fine and the crying had diminished to simple tears rather than sobs I wasn't quick about  wanting to go back to the guild.

"Princess! Open up!" Ignis called pounding on the front door as opposed to breaking in as he usually did. I used the blanket aorudn my shoulder to wipe my face and let him in, careful to face away from him and not to let him see my face for long hoping beyond everything he wouldn't ask why my face was all red.

"The authorities cane and picked him up. Wallow decided it was too risky to keep him here since he had already attacked three of us as a human and threatened our lives. He..... they sent me to tell you to take the day at home before ciming in to claim the reward." He announced, talking far too fast for me to ignore.

"You seem...... Awkward..... You don't get awkward, you go silent and act like you don't care. What happened?" I asked, ignoring my personal hate for others to see my red crying face instead to face him curiously.

"Nothing! Really nothing happened just..... Get your strength back ok?" He offered leaving the door wide open as he disappeared down the hall to his own apartment nearly running to get away from me.
