"Don't you dare leave me on babysitting duty!" Holly ordered, gripping me by the hair and pulling harshly when I made a move to leave her in the hall listening to Garret scream threatening our 'puny lives' as he put it.

"You think it's bad listening to him, how about listening to his thoughts you nincompoop!" She snapped making me growl slightly and huff once before sinking ot sit against the wall arms crossed across my chest nails tapping on the scales lining the back of my arms.

"Whatever, Holl. You volunteered for this." I argued, leaning my had against the wall as she sunk to sit beside me.

"You have to love me, no other choice buddy." She announced, nobody even glancing twice at her fading in and out as she started thinking about something too hard and not concentrating on staying visible.

"Have you ever just forgot you were visible one day?" I suddenly wondered aloud making her chuckle and nod.

"The opposite too. I was with a group of friends when I lived with my Mum and they started looking for me for an hour before I realized they weren't just mocking me." She told me, making a bubble of laughter nearly come out, but I cut it off with a chuckle instead.

We sat in silence as she kept fading in and out of view humming barely audibly to herself. To keep myself entertained I sparked small fires between my fingertips and made them dance around on command. The fire went from a tiny full dragon to a flower to a skull I imagined it.

"Ignis, the authorities are here for Stream." Gran called from the entrance of the hall making the cursing and inhuman wreckage amp up a step as she touched the warding signs carved into the doorway so I could get him out.

"Holl." I sighed, elbowing her invisible form and letting my scales cover my body against whatever claws awaited us on the other side of the door. They sent a shower of sparks as he ripped the front of my shirt to shreds, making me huff annoyed that my favorite shirt was ruined.

"Ethereal squadron three." Holly announced making a five man squad of ethereal energy hazily appear from thin air and three held him while the other two had a firm hold on the pressure points in his neck immobilizing his shift into anything else nastier than what I believe to be a half bear by the thickets of fur scattering his arms.

"I'll pull." I sighed, the ethereals forcing him above the ground a few inches able to be moved at my will. He struggled, but couldn't do much with five forms all helping to pin him to the very air he was surrounded by as I pulled him by the arm of one of the ethereals that I could just barely see even with my powerful eyes.

"You can't keep that trick up until we get him to the guillotine can you?" One of them asked looking at the apparently suspended man who's words were muffled as one of them had clamped a hand firmly over his mouth to stop the curses and threats.

"Holly will be joining you on your way. She is a powerful Ethereal and more than strong enough to hold this for the day and a half journey." Wallow announced making himself known from around the corner looking at me to step away from the prisoner. I nodded and left, staying in the hall listening for a minute before leaving when I knew they wouldn't give the girl any trouble.

I decided to go for a simple flight around the mountain while I wasn't on any mission or asked something else. I cannot put into words how amazing it is to unfurl my wings after having them furled tightly to my sides all day. It's akin to having your legs tied to a heavy log and finally cutting the binds. Every joint softly creaking as I flapped a few times to ready them to hold my weight before one final hard flap sent me up and forward like an arrow streaking against the sky.
