Nobody is reading........ bummer. Whatever. Most greatness is never seen by the masses, but done in secrecy. If I'm wrong about nobody reading and one of you awesomeness peeps want to be a side character sent me a message with the details and your first name!
"IGNIS!" I snapped, when he started playing with the small fire I had going to keep me warm. I'd used charm to keep it fueled, but I wasn't good enough with fire magic to keep him from making it dance around and the heat to be directed away from me.
"But I'm booorrrreeeddd!" He wined like a child releasing the fire so it flickered normally again.
"SO go do something other than bother me." I hissed, frowning into the fire as he got up and started walking in circles around the small cave near to the mine we had holed up in.
"There is NOTHING to do here!" He called making me sigh dramatically and look at him standing at the entrance arms crossed pouting.
"Fine I'll make up some game then." I huffed, trying to think one up with him staring expectantly at me.
"Hurry I'm getting bored again!" He groaned, pouting more than before.
"Fine, this is one I played as a kid. Doesn't seem like much, but.... well it's harder than it looks." I announced, finding the daggers in my bag and balancing one on the back of my palm perfectly. it swayed every now and then forcing me to make adjustments to keep it steady pointing to the sky.
"I could do that in my sleep!" He called taking the other one from me and doing the same with an eye roll.
"How about the first to drop theirs has to answer a question truthfully?" I offered, trying to find anything to make this less boring than it obviously is.
"Fine, but I am not telling you my favorite color." He called smirking and suddenly whistling loud and shrill so I rubbed the ear closest to him in pain.
"Going to play dirty then so am I!" I snapped, suddenly growling low and deep threateningly. All animals reacted to the threat of a shifter the same, by running or attacking. given Ignis is a little more human than dragon I wasn't at all surprised he narrowed his eyes, but didn't do either. Just glared at me and the threatening tone I used to rial him up. When I was sure I had his attention, I blew a breath knocking the dagger off balance so it clattered to the floor with a loud clank.
"HA! Now I want to know who the other royals are. All three." I pushed, setting my dagger on the ground and waiting as he grumbled about me cheating or something under his breath.
"Fine. The princes are both sons of the King of Shale who have no right to the throne. Dorian and Hale. The bastard prince is....." He trailed of, hiding his face and turning like eh had heard something outside the cave entrance.
"No, I know for a fact nothing is out there now you tell me who the Bastard prince is." I snapped, hitting the wall behind me hard enough my hand opened and a line of blood dribbled down my arm.
"Fine I'm the bastard son of Firshon the king of the dragons." He huffed, sitting down pouting again.
"Wow, scales is a prince. Bastard or not that's got to be impressive somehow." I tried, but he shrugged.
"I have fifteen brothers and two sisters who are also bastards. I only have one sister who has the same mother as me and she and I don't get along." He grumbled slightly.
"Oh, I lost count at three bastards of my father. They were always running around with his mistresses when he was there, and when he left.... well let's say it wasn't really cool to announce you were half royal when the half you are abandoned his entire family." I shrugged making him laugh slightly even though I was serious about it.
