As Ella and the girls slept panic was happening back at Ella's house her mum and dad had found her gone they had called the police to try and find her Ethan had seen the police cars on his way home from school and ran in to see what had happened "what do you mean she ran away you told me she was too weak to walk and that i couldn't even see her anyone and now you're telling me she's ran away" Ella's mum seeped forward and stood in front of Ethan "listen Ethan there are things about Ella that you don't know but we had to keep her away from you from everyone for their safety and for hers she can be dangerous not that she ever means to be but last night she smashed her bed room door off its hinges and sent it flying onto Anna" "no how could she do that Ella isn't that strong" "you've seen her do it before the day you meet her when she pushed one if the guys that were picking on you" Ethan thought he remembered that day "but how it isn't possible" Ella's mum and dad looked at one another both with the same thought in their eyes their look asking a unvoiced question should they tell Ethan the truth "look just tell me" Ethan spoke breaking the silence that had fell on the room "she's my best friend I just want to know she's safe the same as you do pleases just tell me the truth" Ella's dad nodded and Ethan sat down on the couch and listen to his friends life story after he had heard everything he tried to process it "so your telling me Ella is a witch" "yeah ever since she was a baby" "ok... hard to believe but I'll go with it so where would she go we need to find her" "we don't know Ethan" "ok well I'm joining the search for her Anna has my number will you call me if there is any news" "of course but Ethan be careful she can be dangerous" "she would never hurt me"
The next morning Ella was woken up again by Toby licking her hand "good morning Toby" Ella said steering into Toby big puppy eyes she turned her head to see the others still asleep Ella reached into her bag and pulled out her art stuff and sketch pad and walked over to the desk Ethan had taught how to draw like he did she began drawing 20 mins later she had finished just as Holly woke up "morning Ella what are you doing" Holly climbed out of bed and walked over to the desk she saw the picture over Ella's shoulder she could see it was six people and a small dog "is that us?" she asked smiling "yeah it's just a little thank you to you all for last night" "it's fantastic Ella girls wake up you have to see this" slowly one by one the girls woke up and crowded around the desk to look at the picture "that's amazing Ella it's got to go up on the wall" the girls found some blue tack and put the picture on the wall above the desk "looks good" just as the girls walked back to their beds a knock came on the door Holly went to open it was Caroline holding an arm full of golden coloured clothes "these are yours Ella" Caroline said walking into the room and laying the clothes on Ella's bed as she turned she saw the picture "that's good who drew it?" "Ella did," Rosie said smiling "quite the artist aren't you Ella?" Ella shrugged her shoulders Caroline smiled at the girls "right girls get dressed as quick as you can and get some breakfast Claire wants you in the coven room as soon as possible" Caroline left the room and closed the door the girls ran to get their dresses Ella picked up her dress from the pile Caroline had brought in it was a long gold dress same design as the girls Ella put the dress on and then brushed her long brown hair into a ponytail "no Ella wear your hair down I think it would look nice If we all did our hair the same" Katelyn said with pleading eyes "ok" Ella took her bobble out and let her long hair flow down her back Toby was sat on Holly's bed "come Toby you need to eat as well" Holly said picking him up the girls walked down to the dining room a room that looked so big when Caroline had shown it Ella but now it was fill it looked very small Caroline was stood by the door "ah there you are girls wonderful oh and little Toby girls why don't you show Ella how our meal times work I'll see that toby is feed and is waiting in the main hall for you when you have finished breakfast" the girls nodded as Holly handed Toby to Caroline Ella stroked his head as she walked passed following the girls they lead her to a counter that had an array of hot and cold food on it "we just get everything in one go it saves coming up twice" Rosie said handing Ella a tray the girls each grabbed a blow and filled it with the cereal of their choice Ella picked corn flakes they then added their milk and continued down the line to the hot food where there was everything you could have for breakfast sausages, bacon, eggs, waffles, hash browns and beans Ella didn't know what to have she was always just given the food her mum and dad thought was best she never got any choice at home she decided to have some of everything the girls then reached the end of the counter where they had a choice of drinks Ella picked a cup of tea to help wake her up then the girls turned to the packed room trying to find six seats together they found just six right at the end of the long table they sat down and began to eat their food after they had eaten they headed for the great hall which was empty apart from Toby wondering round the room and when the girls entered he ran to them his tail wagging as he ran Holly and Ella knelt on the floor to stroke him "good morning girls" Claire's voice came softly from behind them "good morning Claire" the girls said together "come there is much to teach you" Claire lead then toward the secret staircase again Toby returned to running round the hall when the girls reached the door they opened it as they had the night before they took their places at the table "did you all sleep well girls" the girls nodded but Ella sank a little in her chair "Ella did you not sleep well?" Claire asked her "no I lost control of my powers I nearly hurt the girls" Ella's voice began to break Rose grabbed Ella's hand "you didn't hurt us Ella you did scare us though" "Ella tell me what happened" "I had a nightmare, and it triggered my power but the girls helped me calm down I don't know how but I've never felt my power clam like that" "Emily tell me how you helped her?" "we made a channel circle" "well done that's the best thing you could of down to help Ella" "well to be fair Claire if it wasn't for Emily we wouldn't of known that Ella was in trouble she was the one who woke the rest of us up" Holly said "yes I've seen it in many coven that the binding power and the fire power bond is stronger than the rest but Holly nothing bad would of happen to you girls if Emily hadn't woken you by the bind you all now share it would of told you in time that Ella was in trouble but I do fear what the price could of been if Ella hadn't bonded so well with Emily" "what do you mean Claire" Ella asked with a growing look of worry on her face "I said nothing bad would of happened to you had you lost control Ella but the rest of the house the bond between you all wouldn't let you ever hurt the others in your coven but the rest of us you could have either taken some of our powers from us or worse someone's life" Ella started to breath quicker she never thought her powers could be that bad "but it's ok Ella your here now were we can help you control your powers you don't have you be afraid any longer"
The girls had all sorts of classes together making their bond stronger as Ella understood more she felt more and more herself she also had classes with each of her coven alone Claire told her the binding power linked with the rest of her covens so to understand her abilities she also had to learn about this powers the girls had so once a week the girls took turns in teaching her their powers Holly would teach her, her powers to heal and connect with animals, Rosie taught her how to control water and even the ability to make it rain, Katelyn showed her, her ability to control the wind and the air, Emily taught her how to control fire and even how to start fires with her mind well by lighting a candle and Rose taught her how to control the earth including making flowers and plants grow" one day while in a section with Emily both Ella and Emily got a very straight feeling scared? No not worry yeah. They were feeling worry through their bond to the other girls both Ella and Emily ran to their dorm room to find Rose sat on her bed rocking back and forth just as Ella and Emily entered the room the other girls arrived Ella and Holly walked over and sat either side of Rose on her bed "Rose what's wrong tell us" Holly said placing her hand on Rose's shoulder a tear fell down Roses face as she looked up at her friends "I was taking a nap and I started to dream it was the vision we saw when we opened the coven door only this time it went on longer I saw more of the battle that is going to happen and what's going to happen to all of us" "want to do you mean what's going to happen to us we will fight side by side and we'll be fine" "from what I saw we won't be side by side the whole battle they split us up I saw one of the boys grabbing you Ella" "which one shows us Rose" the girls all joined hands and Rose pushed the vision she'd seen to the front of her mind and showed it to the girls through their bond the girls could see the humans mixed among the witches then a group reached the hill were they were fighting a small group of the humans reached for the girls Ethan grabbed Ella, Ella felt her heart sink then the vision faded "well now we've seen this we can make sure it doesn't happen we'll protect each other Rose that's what a coven does we are a family" the girls smiled at each other and then all left to have dinner with the others in the great hall.
Ella did not feel like eating much she just could not work out what could ever make Ethan hate her that much that he would join with the people in the vision that wanted to hurt her and her new friends that was not the Ethan she knew and cared for. That night Ethan was all Ella could think of, but she had more control over her powers thanks to Claire, so she managed to sleep.
