Chapter 1: First Date

Paige's POV:

I squirmed a bit, my back was getting tired from sitting up straight with no support. I was blindfolded as Hadley, my best friend, put the finishing touches on my hair. She was giving me a makeover before I went out on yet another date she had planned for me. Since she had started dating Liam she seemed determined to get me a boyfriend. I hadn't been in a relationship for a while so I went along with it, at the least I got an excuse to dress up and go to dinner. Before I could delve any deeper into my thoughts, a loud squeal came from behind me.

"Done! My god, I think I've out done myself. Paige, you look gorgeous."

I took off my blindfold. Wow, I couldn't argue. If there was one thing Hadley knew, it was fashion. I was in ripped denim skinny jeans, a crop top with a studded black jacket over it, and black ankle high combat boots. My ash brown hair was pulled up into a bun with a French braid up the back. Just a touch of eyes shadow, the perfect color to complement my hazel eyes, a dash of lip gloss and my outfit was complete.

"Thanks I love it. So who's the guy and were are we going?" I asked, slipping my phone into my pocket.

"You'll see," She replied with a smile.

Hadley's POV:

As I walked Paige out of the door and towards the car I could sense her excitement. Liam was in the car and he gave it a honk.

"Hurry up or we'll be late!" He shouted, already turning the key in the ignition.

Paige thought it was stupid that we drove her, kind of like an escort, but she caved in eventually. On the way she asked all the usual questions.

"What's his name? What does he look like? Where are we going?" Etc..

She was actually nervous, which was weird for her. I asked her about it, but she just said it felt different this time. Finally we arrived and there sat Niall with his always charming smile. Paige was beyond blushing as she stared at him. I had to give her a tap on the shoulder before she snapped back into the real world.

"Hello love, what might your name be?" Niall asked, pulling out her chair.

She was staring...again, so this time I gave her a shove.

"Oh, I'm Paige," She replied, taking her seat with a grateful smile.

Liam smiled and pulled me away, looking at his phone.

"Wow look at the time! We should be going, come on babe."

I turned, giving Paige a quick thumbs up before Liam and I left. He looped his arm around my waist, smiling.

"So what do you think about those to?"

I smiled, I saw the way Niall looked at her. And Paige usually wasn't flustered like that.

"Match made in heaven. Now lets go home, I have a feeling she won't need a ride back."
