Chapter 24: Denver

Paige's POV:

Everything was going great. Hadley told Liam and he was estatic. Telling everyone he was going to be a dad and all that shit. And we were all a big happy family again. It was wonderful. I decided to go on tour with the boys because I couldn't stand to be without them. But I was regretting it already as I stood by the door with a nervous Simba at my side. I hadn't told Tyler or anyone yet so I figured no time like the present. Plus we were leaving tonight. So I gently inserted my key into the door and pushed it open with a smile.

"Hey." I said, instantly three figures ran over to give me a hug.

It was funny, we'd been together so often I didn't have to look to tell who was who.

"We have another surprise." Tyler said with a huge grin.

"So do I." I said with a sympathetic smile, I'd miss these guys.

"I bet ours is bigger." Jack chimed in, almost jumping with excitement.

"I seriously doubt it." I replied gently.

"Ok fine well say it together." Luke said.

"One. "

"Two."

"Three."

"We're going to Denver."

"I'm going to Denver."

We all stood their looking at each other with mouths wide open.

"You knew?" Tyler exclaimed in disbelief.

"I ummm. Knew what?" I asked cautiously.

"Our next fight! It's in Denver. Family road trip!" Jack yelled, bringing everyone into another group hug.

"That's wonderful!" I screamed, not being able to think past the fact that my team was coming with me.

"Yeah isn't it? We get to live all together and it'll be perfect." Tyler said, picking me up and twirling me around.

Even Simba was infected, as we all laughed and danced around in a circle. Jack started signing some infectious tune and we all joined in, collapsing in a giggly heap on the floor.

Suddenly there was a gentle tapping on the door and I looked over to see angry emerald eyes.

"Um Paige. Sorry you were taking a while. Everything packed?" Harry asked, sending a sneer in Tyler's direction.

"What does he mean..?" Luke asked slowly.

"Oh well you see I'm going on tour with the boys... They have a few shows in Denver so that's why I was going. " I said looking down at the angry glares of my teammates, "but I'm still on the team if you'll have me. I'll practice all the time and fly out to all the fights. We'll even be together for the first one right!" I added in a rushed tone.

"Your leaving us....for them?" Tyler asked slowly, as if he couldn't quite grasp the concept.

As if to prove his point Harry choose that moment to wrap his arm protectively around my shoulder. "Yes she is. Sucks to make an ass out of yourself for nothing doesn't it." Harry snapped.

"No ,but it sucks to have someone you care about leave, for someone who doesn't even care about her. " Tyler replied, sounding hurt.

"I'm not leaving you guys! Come on remember MMA teams forever? I promised and I won't break that promise. " I said, walking over and taking all their hands.
