Chapter 38: Parents

Hadley's POV:

The door opened to reveal the 5 boys walking. They looked exhausted, but their attitude made them seem like they were high. All of them did so much for other people and they only saw the hyper happy side of them, but they never saw the tired worn out boys. I stood up from the ground and walked over to Liam and gave him a big hug. I just wanted to stay like that, the two (or three) of us, protected, warm, happy. I couldn't wait to marry him and I was getting even more excited as the days went on. October 2nd was the official day that was set and it would be on the beach in LA.

I'd always wanted a night wedding, so the ceremony would start at about sunset. Paige would obviously be my maid of honor and I had called my sisters, who were flying out, to be my other bridesmaids. Liam would obviously have the boys as his groomsmen, but I was yet to ask him who his best man would be. The dresses were a turquoise color and I had my dream dress, but I still had to try it on once in LA. Everything pretty much went according to my stupid piece of paper that I never knew would come in handy one day.

I still had to talk to my parents and Paige's, but we were going to call them tomorrow, so Liam could be with me. I was so nervous, I hadn't talked to them in maybe 2 or 3 years...

*NEXT MORNING*

"Ready?" Liam asks.

"No, maybe we'll just tell them another time."

"What, after we're married? Yeah I don't think so, just hit call."

My thumb hovered over the button on the screen. I don't know why I was so scared. Eventually Liam pressed my thumb for me and then hti speaker phone. After a couple rings someone picked up.

"Hello?"

"Hello, Hadley?"

"He-hey mom it's me," I say almost crying after not hearing her voice in forever.

"Oh my gosh, John! Hadley's on the phone!" I could hear my mom yell to my dad.

"Hadley, sweetie, are you ok?"

"Yeah I'm fine, actually more than fine ,I'm great!"

"That's great to hear! Oh god, it's so nice to hear your voice again, is uhh, is Paige with you?"

"Um no, but I have someone I want you to meet on the phone, with me," I say smiling over at Liam.

"Oh who is it?"

"Hi, I'm Liam," Liam says happily into the phone.

"Oh Hadley, is that a boy?"

"Um yeah it is."

"Are you two uh, umm?"

"Yes mom we're dating, actually-"

"What do you do, son?" My dad asks huskily.

"I'm in a band actually."

"Hmm, punk band no doubt," my dad tries to secretly whisper to my mom.

"No dad, he's in a boy band, their actually pretty famous."

"Now your dating celebrities, Hadley baby, these aren't good decisions," my mom says worriedly.

"I'm making perfectly fine decisions mom, he's sweet and caring and funny and he's going to make a great fa- friend to me and Paige," I nervously look over at Liam.
